As she walked to school, her head still in a mess.
At school, she sat down on her chair and put her head on her table and began sleeping then Kumiko came and sat next to her and tapped her then Yumi said "what". "Tatsuki is standing right in front of you". Kumiko said urging her to raise her head and when she did she saw tatsuki and he was looking a bit guilty then she looked beside him and saw Yuji standing there waiting for tatsuki to say something then tatsuki said with his head down "I'm sorry about yesterday". "It's okay". Yumi said as she placed her head back on her table and began sleeping once more.
Minutes later the teacher had walked in and everyone arranged their selves and stopped talking then the teacher saw Yumi sleeping so he then said "kumiko wake her up". Kumiko tried to wake her up but Yumi didn't open her eyes or lift her head then the teacher called out her name and said she should go outside and stay there until the lesson was over so Yumi stood up and carried her bag then left. Outside she sat down and put her bad on her lap then placed her head and began to drift off again. She heard the teacher from inside say something about a new student and then she lifted her head and saw a boy walk into the class room and 5he teacher introduced him as koji then the class continued. The lesson was finally over so she went into the class and sat on her seat.
"Oh my gosh, he's so handsome". Kumiko said while drooling at koji. " He's not that....". Yumi didn't continue cause she has just saw his face and she said "he looks like a god". Yumi started drooling over him too. Yuji just watched them from behind. Then it was lunch time so kumiko and Yumi went to the cafeteria and sat down then Yumi said "I need to get his attention". Kumiko looked at her as she began thinking then she said "let's start with a casual fall". Then they both began to laugh like maniacs. Then operation get his attention began, so they were in the hallway and she saw him walking and then she almost fell and someone had caught her then the person said "clumsy". Yumi looked at the person's face and realized that it wasn't koji instead it was Yuji, she hadn't noticed that Yuji was also there and that he was silently looking at her. 'um.. sorry". She quickly removed herself from his embrace and walked away. As she was walking, she began murmuring to herself then she got to class and sat down. "So how was it". Kumiko asked with excitement. "Just my luck—when I wanted Koji's attention, Yuji was the one who noticed me." Yumi said disappointed. "Well it's just the first step, I still have more plans". Kumiko said as she smiled maniacly. The teacher walked in and another lesson began. Yumi was still distracted as a thought came into her head and the thought was that what if she and koji get together but he breaks up with her and due to her curse he might get into an accident or worse--die. She stood up and asked the teacher permission to use the bathroom and the teacher said yes so she went.
Inside the bathroom, she washed her face cause thoughts of her hearing that her father was dead kept on repeating in her mind. She walked out of the bathroom shakily.
Inside the classroom, people were making noise and having fun cause it was a free period but she didn't like it so she went to the music room.
Inside the music room, she sat down in front of the piano and put her earbuds in her ear then she began playing the piano and singing. "You have empathy inside but you don't really care". Tears fell from her eyes as she smiled and continued to sing as the melody of the piano filled the room. "Do you ever get a little bit tired of life like your not really happy but you don't want to die". She finished the song then quickly like she didn't just cry she began playing a happy song. She didn't know that someone was outside listening to her.
Inside the classroom, she came back cause another class just started so she sat down. At the back, Yuji stared at her with a confused expression then he placed his head on his desk. School ended and everyone began leaving. "Should we head home together". Kumiko asked Yumi and she said 'yes'. They walked together then went their separate ways.
Yumi got home and saw her mom collapsed on the ground, she tried to wake her mom up but she wasn't breathing so she called tatsuki and when he answered she realized it wasn't tatsuki's voice. "Umm sorry tatsuki is not available right now". The person said. " Please tell him to come I need his help please". She said as her sobs choked her. Minutes later, her mom was in the hospital. She sat outside not knowing whether her mom was okay or not, the fear of loosing her mom frightened her but tatsuki comforted her while Yuji paced back and forth. Then the doctor came out .....
