"Good morning, students," the teacher said as she entered the classroom.
"Good morning, teacher," the students replied.
Soon, the class began. Everyone was busy studying and listening to the lesson.
After some time, the bell rang.
It was break time.
Three girls walked over to Leo's desk.
"Hey Leo, it's break time," one of them said with a smile. "Let's have lunch together in the cafeteria."
Leo looked at them for a moment.
"Ah… no, thank you. Excuse me," he replied politely before standing up.
The girls looked annoyed.
"Hey… he's so rude," one girl whispered.
"Yeah," another agreed.
Leo quietly left the classroom.
Claire, who was sitting nearby, watched him leave.
At that moment, another girl was also looking at Leo. Her name was Emily. She was known for being kind and sweet to everyone.
Later, on the high school grounds, Claire was walking alone.
Suddenly, she noticed Leo sitting by himself on a bench.
"What? Leo is sitting here alone?" Claire thought.
"But why is he alone? He's so popular. Everyone likes him… I wonder why he always stays by himself."
Just then, Leo suddenly looked up and noticed Claire staring at him.
Claire froze.
Leo stood up and quietly walked away.
"Oh… oh no. He's leaving," Claire thought.
"I shouldn't have stared at him like that."
She felt a little disappointed.
Meanwhile, Leo was walking away when someone called out to him.
"Hey, what are you doing here, Leo?"
It was Werren.
"Ah, hey," Leo replied casually. "Nothing… nothing at all. So, how was your class?"
"It was good," Werren said.
Leo suddenly noticed something.
"Hey… what happened to your elbow? Are you okay?"
Werren looked at it.
"Oh, this? It's nothing. Just a small injury."
"Are you sure you're okay?" Leo asked.
"Yes, I'm fine," Werren replied.
Leo nodded.
"Alright, if you say so. Hey, let's go to the library. I have something to show you."
"Sure," Werren said.
The two of them walked toward the library together.
Back on the school ground, Claire was still standing there.
"Ah… I won't look at him like that again," she said quietly to herself.
The next day at high school, the weather had changed.
It was raining.
Dark clouds covered the sky, and the sound of raindrops filled the air.
Inside the classroom, the lesson had started.
Claire looked outside the window.
"Wow… it's raining a lot today," she thought.
"I wonder when it will stop."
But the rain continued all day.
Finally, the high school day ended.
Claire packed her bag and stood up.
"Thank God I brought my umbrella," she said with relief.
As she walked outside, she suddenly noticed Leo standing near the school gate.
"Oh no… it's raining," Leo said quietly.
"I didn't bring my umbrella. What should I do now?"
He sighed and covered his head with his bag.
"I guess I'll have to go home like this," he muttered.
Just as he was about to leave, a voice called out to him.
"Hey."
Leo turned around.
It was Claire.
She held out her umbrella toward him.
"Here… you can use my umbrella," she said softly.
Leo looked surprised.
"But what about you?" he asked. "How will you go home?"
Claire smiled a little.
"Don't worry," she said. "I have my car."
Leo looked at her quietly, unsure of what to say.
