The thick alloy armor of the Kree battleship tore apart like fragile paper.
The violent rupture instantly created a massive gap in the ship's hull. Because of the sudden pressure difference between the vacuum of space and the interior atmosphere, everything inside the cockpit was violently sucked toward the opening.
Equipment, debris, even loose metal fragments were pulled outward into the endless darkness.
The Kree soldiers struggled desperately to hold their positions.
Accuser Mywell and the elite guards around him were not ordinary warriors. Using their powerful physiques and magnetic boots, they managed to anchor themselves to the deck despite the chaos.
But what truly stunned them wasn't the breach itself.
It was the person who had caused it.
A woman had just walked into their flagship.
"A… Kryptonian woman…" someone muttered in disbelief.
Mywell felt a chill crawl down his spine.
The woman standing before them had torn apart the warship's armor with her bare hands. That alone was enough to make even a hardened commander feel uneasy.
But there was something even more terrifying.
She was floating in open space without any kind of life-support equipment.
Could this woman be another Superman?
Faora stood calmly inside the shattered cockpit, her expression cold and emotionless.
Her icy gaze swept across the Kree soldiers before settling directly on Mywell.
"So it's you," she said quietly.
The tone of her voice was flat, almost indifferent.
"His Majesty ordered me to destroy this battleship," she continued. "And to bring back your corpse."
Mywell's face twisted with fury.
"Impossible!"
The humiliation was unbearable.
To be killed by a woman in front of his own soldiers? As an Accuser of the Kree Empire, he could not accept such an ending.
But Faora had already moved.
Her speed was terrifying.
Bang!
Her slender arm shot forward with explosive force. The punch struck one of the guards in front of her like a cannon shell.
Several Kree soldiers were launched backward instantly.
Broken spines.
Collapsed chests.
None of them survived the impact.
Energy weapons immediately fired.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Multiple laser beams struck Faora's body.
Yet the attacks barely slowed her down.
The energy blasts scattered harmlessly against her skin. The soldiers stared in horror as they realized their weapons could not harm her at all.
"How is this possible?"
"Is Krypton raising another Superman?"
Even Mywell could not hide his shock.
The woman before him seemed almost identical to the terrifying Kryptonian emperor they had heard about.
But suddenly—
Faora stopped.
The Kree soldiers froze.
No one understood why she had paused.
Mywell, however, felt a terrifying pressure gathering in the air.
His eyes widened.
Energy was converging toward the Kryptonian woman.
"Damn it…"
A faint red glow ignited in Faora's eyes.
Around her eye sockets, the light formed a pattern resembling the legendary Kryptonian crest.
Superman's symbol.
Heat vision.
Whoosh!
A blazing red beam erupted from Faora's eyes.
The scorching energy pierced straight through the flagship's structure, cutting through bulkheads and engine cores like a burning blade.
Boom!
The entire warship exploded.
Flames and shockwaves tore through the vessel as it began disintegrating in space.
A moment later, Faora's figure shot out of the expanding fireball.
She hovered calmly among the debris.
In one hand she held the severed head of Accuser Mywell.
In the other, she withdrew a blood-stained alloy blade.
Under the distant light of the sun, Faora's expression softened slightly.
A faint smile appeared on her face.
She could feel it clearly.
Her strength had increased again.
The yellow sun of this system was a blessing to Kryptonians.
"Your Majesty…" Faora whispered quietly.
"I'm finally beginning to catch up to you."
Behind her, the battlefield continued to burn.
Under Faora's command, the Kryptonian forces completed their ambush near Uranus. One after another, Kree warships were destroyed by relentless heat vision attacks and precise orbital strikes.
Within ten minutes, the entire fleet was annihilated.
Exactly as the Supreme Intelligence had predicted.
Accuser Mywell never even reached Earth.
His fleet vanished from the imperial registry before completing its mission.
The Kree had walked straight into a carefully prepared trap.
They never realized that Krypton had already rebuilt its military.
If Mywell had obeyed the Supreme Intelligence's order to retreat, he might have survived.
But pride had led him directly to destruction.
Meanwhile, far away on Earth—
Massachusetts.
Yun Chen and Carol Danvers walked quietly along a country road.
The night air was calm, and the distant stars shimmered softly above them.
Carol finally spoke.
"You seem very confident in your subordinates," she said with a hint of concern.
The two of them stopped near a small ridge overlooking the surrounding fields.
Yun Chen lifted his gaze toward the sky.
His eyes flashed faintly.
Even from Earth's surface, his vision could pierce the darkness of space and observe events unfolding far beyond the atmosphere.
"This is a test," he said calmly.
"Krypton cannot rely on a single Superman."
"We need an army."
He paused briefly.
"And clearly, they passed."
Carol blinked.
"Wait… they won?"
She looked up at the night sky instinctively.
But all she could see were distant stars scattered across the darkness.
She knew the Kree fleet had entered the solar system earlier.
Originally, she had planned to follow Yun Chen into space and fight them herself. Yet Yun Chen had stopped her and ordered his own forces to handle the threat.
Carol crossed her arms and sighed.
"That almost makes me sound like the manipulative woman behind a tyrant."
Yun Chen laughed softly.
The woman beside him might be one of the most powerful beings in the universe, but sometimes she behaved like a sentimental girl.
"Relax," he said.
"I don't make decisions lightly."
His voice was filled with confidence.
"By the time we finish this conversation, the Kree fleet will already be drifting as debris among the stars."
He glanced upward again.
"My commander Faora should already have cut off their leader's head."
Carol stared at him in surprise.
"You're serious?"
"Of course."
Yun Chen smiled slightly.
This battle had been more than just eliminating a threat.
It had been a trial.
Kryptonians were a warrior race just like the Kree. Combat instinct flowed through their blood.
And among them, Faora had grown the fastest under the yellow sun.
Super flight.
Heat vision.
A perfect soldier.
In many ways, she had already become a female Superman.
Carol's expression finally relaxed.
The shadow of worry disappeared from her face.
Instead, a hint of anticipation appeared in her eyes.
They had come to Massachusetts for a reason.
It was the place where Carol Danvers had been born.
Nearly thirty years had passed.
Everything had changed.
The small town in front of her looked both familiar and distant.
Carol hesitated.
She didn't know if her parents were still alive.
Taking a step forward suddenly felt incredibly difficult.
But before she could move—
Yun Chen frowned.
A brilliant beam of rainbow light suddenly tore through the night sky.
The Bifrost.
It descended from space and landed not far in front of them.
