Chapter 19 - Chapter 19

Chapter 19

In Fairy Tail, the atmosphere was quiet—too quiet—which was unusual for the guild. The reason was two 15-year-old girls glaring at each other intensely.

"We should make the house like this, not like that," Mira said, pointing at her drawing, which looked more like a child's scribble than a proper design.

Erza scoffed. "Can you even understand what that thing you call a home is? The house should be like this." She pointed at her own drawing, which was no better than Mira's.

The guild members broke into a cold sweat. What even are those drawings? Can they even be called drawings? they thought nervously, too afraid to speak out loud.

Erza and Mira continued glaring at each other, sparks practically crackling between them. Happy and Laki clung to each other, nearly crying. Kai, please come back quickly… these two monsters will kill us, they prayed silently.

Erza and Mira suddenly turned toward the guild members. Everyone felt a chill run down their spine.

"Ahaha, look at the time! I have a mission to complete. Gotta go, everyone," Macao said, struggling to stand before trying to escape.

"Oii, we always do missions together! Wait for me!" Wakaba followed instantly, trying to flee with him.

Everyone glared at them. "You shameless bastards! You laze around all day and now you suddenly have a mission?" they shouted angrily.

"Shut up! We are wizards, what's wrong with taking missions—" Macao froze as a silver-white blade rested on his neck, frost forming instantly.

He met Erza's cold gaze, feeling as if he stood beneath a blood-red moon with rivers of blood flowing around him. "You think we are idiots? Where is the job request?"

Cold sweat dripped down his forehead. "Ahaha… I was kidding. It was a joke," he said nervously.

Wakaba was in a similar situation as Mira stared at him with a sweet smile. To him, it felt like endless darkness filled with countless eyes watching him like a predator.

"Y-yes, Mira… it was just a joke," Wakaba nodded frantically, his neck nearly snapping from the motion.

"Oh my, I thought you were running away or something," Mira said sweetly, before both she and Erza turned toward the rest of the guild.

Natsu and Gray shivered, clinging to each other. Happy was already crying in Laki's arms.

Makarov, meanwhile, found himself strangely enjoying writing apology letters for the first time in his life. "Well, everyone, whose house do you think is better?" Mira asked.

We're done for… Happy cried internally.

Levy raised her hand hesitantly. "Umm… how about we wait for Kai to come back and decide? He will be living in it with you after all."

Erza and Mira froze, thinking for a moment. "Yes… even though Kai said he would leave everything to us, we should still ask him," Erza admitted.

Everyone looked at Levy like she was an angel. "Levy, I swear I won't burn your books ever again!" Natsu cried dramatically.

Levy's eye twitched, a vein popping on her forehead. "So it was you who did that? I hadn't even finished that book, you bastard!"

Jet and Droy immediately started cursing Natsu. "How dare you touch Levy's books!" "She was so sad!"

Natsu whistled innocently. "Well… it accidentally caught fire. Not my fault."

Levy gritted her teeth. "Mira, it was also Natsu who ate the cookies you made for Kai!"

Natsu froze. Everyone stared at him in horror. "Damn… Natsu has the guts of a dragon," Wakaba muttered.

"Tsk, he really has a death wish," Macao nodded.

Mira slowly turned toward Natsu with a terrifying smile. Everyone instinctively moved away from him.

"So, Natsu… were the cookies delicious?" she asked sweetly.

Natsu's back was drenched in sweat. If I praise her cooking, she won't hit me… right? he thought before blurting out, "Yes! They were the most delicious cookies I've ever eaten! Your cooking is the best, Mira!"

The more he praised her, the more Mira's smile sharpened into something dangerous. Everyone stared at him in horror.

Gray looked at him with wide eyes. Dude… you're making it worse.

Levy wasn't done yet. She turned to Erza. "It was also Natsu and Gray who destroyed your special limited-edition cake while fighting."

Makarov's pen froze mid-writing. Everyone's legs nearly gave out. Levy is a demon… they all thought, trembling.

Meigetsu appeared in Erza's hand as her hair floated from the pressure of her magic. Mira's arm partially transformed into a demonic claw.

"IT. WAS. YOU?" Erza's voice echoed as frost spread across the floor, Sakura petals falling as a full moon illusion formed behind her.

"S-sorry!" Natsu and Gray cried.

Soon, the beating began. The entire guild sat in a corner, shivering as Natsu and Gray's screams echoed.

"They are scary…" Happy muttered. "Waaah, where is Kai?"

Just then, the doors opened. Everyone looked with hope—only for Elfman and Lisanna to walk in.

"Why are there screams coming from the guild?" Lisanna asked.

"Well, it must be Natsu and Gray getting beaten up again," Elfman replied casually.

Everyone's hope shattered. Happy flew into Lisanna's arms. "Waaah, stop Mira and Erza! They're going to kill them!"

Lisanna blinked, then saw the scene and her soul practically left her body. "W-what did those idiots do this time?"

After hearing the explanation, she stared at Natsu and Gray with admiration. "They really aren't afraid of death…"

Makarov approached cautiously. "Ahem… girls, I think—"

Both Erza and Mira turned to him. He shuddered, gave a thumbs-up, and said, "This is perfectly reasonable," before bolting away.

"Damn it, you're the guild master!" the members shouted.

"Shut up! If you have the guts, stop them yourselves!" Makarov snapped back.

Soon, another brawl broke out. Chairs flew, tables shattered, and chaos filled the hall.

Laki cried in despair. "Damn it! Now I have to fix everything again!" She threw another chair in frustration.

Before long, the guild hall was completely destroyed. Members lay groaning in pain, while Natsu and Gray were taken to Porlyusica immediately.

Erza and Mira huffed. "Let's see if they dare do that again."

On the train to Magnolia, Kai and Juvia sat together as rain gently fell outside.

"Juvia can't wait to see Fairy Tail," she said excitedly.

Kai nodded, then suddenly sneezed. "Ah-choo!"

Juvia panicked. "Waaah! Did you catch a cold? Is it Juvia's fault?"

Kai waved it off. "Nope. Rain can't make me sick. I just feel like someone is talking about me."

"So it's not a cold… Juvia is relieved," she sighed.

Kai grinned. "You worry too much, Juvia. With my strength, I don't get sick."
