The Sonic Rainboom, that's it?
"Flying Light, why did you stop me from telling Applejack that she has actually already gotten her cutie mark?"
After Applejack left, the three ponies followed the other passengers off the train and stepped onto the land of Ponyville. As they walked, Twilight Sparkle asked Aurora, still confused by the situation.
"I think Applejack would have been really happy to know that."
"You're right, Twilight, she would have jumped for joy if she had known."
Aurora smiled and continued.
"But you saw it too, she was practically dying to get home. That homesickness was so strong that it made her overlook the fact that she had already received her cutie mark. Although I don't know why no other pony reminded her along the way, since she's managed to stay focused until now, it shouldn't be spoiled before she gets home."
Since she didn't know exactly when Applejack's cutie mark had appeared, Aurora couldn't easily determine why her aunt and uncle hadn't reminded her.
However, putting herself in their shoes, seeing her little niece suddenly have three apples on her flank, and rushing to pack her things to go home, with an expression so excited that it seemed nothing could dampen her enthusiasm to return home.
If Aurora were her relative in the big city, she would have chosen to say nothing, too, suppressing her excitement and pretending nothing happened while sending her to the train station.
"When she finally returns to the home she's been longing for and sees her family after such a long time, and then, guided by them, suddenly discovers that her cutie mark has appeared on her flank without her knowing, and the design is her favorite apple."
"That moment will surely become the happiest moment of her life!"
Having said that, how could Twilight Sparkle not understand Aurora's intentions?
Twilight Sparkle felt herself trembling with joy just imagining it; she didn't even dare to think if Applejack, the pony in question, might just faint from happiness.
Good thing she hadn't said anything just now!
"My goodness! Flying Light, you actually indirectly prepared such a big surprise for a pony you've only met once!"
"Don't say that; I wouldn't dare take the credit."
Preparing surprises for ponies she didn't know—aside from Pinkie Pie and Rarity, Aurora couldn't think of any other pony in her memory who would clearly do such a thing.
"It should be said that this surprise is something Applejack deserves."
Aurora blinked. The only thing she regretted now was not being able to see the moment of Applejack's realization with her own eyes; she felt it would surely have become an iconic scene worth preserving.
"Sometimes I'm really curious about what's going on in your head."
Sunset Shimmer gently nudged Aurora with her elbow, with a look that said "you're really something," expressing her approval of Aurora.
How many ponies in this world can calmly arrange everything in an orderly fashion without appearing rigid? At the very least, Aurora is one of them.
"So, where should we start?"
Twilight Sparkle spread out the map she had prepared beforehand, and the three ponies put their heads together to discuss their next move.
