Chapter 5 - chapter 5: The ending

Dear readers, before you read this, I just want to say sorry for not posting any chapters for the past 5 days. I just want to ask for your forgiveness, as these past 5 days were stressful and they were full of work to the point that I was so tired that I did not have any energy to think, let alone write. With that out of the way, let's continue where we left off. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------With a blinding flash of light, a pillar of light rose to the sky, turning the whole surrounding area brighter than it should have been.

Even the darkness enveloping Julius seemed to waver in its presence. The pillar swallowed Noel whole, not leaving even a speck of her figure out in the open. The pillar was intimidating. From a distance away, it looked majestic, but to dark forces, it was intimidating to the point it gave shivers down their spine, and Julius was no exception since he was currently using dark energy that he should not have ever touched in the first place.

The pillar of light shrank until it left a silhouette of a person behind. The figure had 3 pairs of wings behind it while a golden ring floated above its head, as it had always been there. Her clothes had changed, and their place was robes pure and weightless, cascading in soft folds of white and gold, untouched by dust or time, parting gently around six radiant wings.

Here eyes remained an ametyst color, but this time, golden runes, which were clearly moving like the hands of time, were apparent in her eyes. Her whole aura changed to a holy and saintly one, which deserved to be worshiped by the mortals.

Her eyes slowly shifted to Julius's direction, and when she stared at him, his whole body shook, screaming of danger and warning him to flee, but his stubborn pride refused to accept defeat as he stood his ground, unwilling to accept defeat.

" You and I both know that we can't last long in this form, Julius, so I want to keep this short, as there are more important things to attend to other than you, Julius," she said, her voice slow and very much terrifying.

Julius only kept his silence as he stared at her, with panic clearly written in his eyes. Seeing this, Noel's mouth slowly rose to a smirk. "What, Julius, don't tell me you are now afraid of me? That's cruel, you know." Hearing this, Julius ' panic only increased because her personality seemed to undergo a 180-degree change.

Seeing this, Julius did not even hesitate because he knew if he hesitated, he would die. With haste, he raised his hands, and dark matter started gathering above him. He knew that if he delayed, he would cease to exist; he could feel it down in his bones, down to his core.

Once the sphere above Julius was large enough, it began to shrink and condense. Julius then pointed his hands toward Noel and fired the sphere like a laser beam. As the dark beam rushed toward her, Noel finally reacted.

She raised her right index finger at the oncoming beam and, with a flash, released her own beam, golden in color. With a bang, the two beams collided. Instead of an epic clash between 2 forces clashing out with each other, the result was pitiful; Noel's golden beam quickly overpowered Julius's, pushing his dark beam back and advancing toward him.

Julius was speechless that he got overpowered that easily, but when the massive sphere was just about to hit him, a portal opened behind him, which pulled him inside, leaving the beam to devastate the area he was recently at, but he could not see the destruction caused since he was already gone.

Seeing what just happened, Noel's brows furrowed as she stared hard at the area where Julius had just disappeared. Suddenly, someone appeared behind Noel."Luna, is everything ready?" Noel asked, still staring at the same place as if expecting Julius to suddenly reappear where he was a moment ago.

She was silent for a while before she said, "Is everything ready?"

"Yes, Noel, everything is ready, but are you going to be okay?"Worry was clearly written in Luna's eyes."Don't worry, I'm going to be fine. We have unfinished business. With that, they both disappeared.
