Darkness.
Cold.
Silence.
Arif slowly opened his eyes.
His vision blurred for a moment before gradually clearing. The first thing he noticed was the air — it felt heavy, suffocating, filled with an unfamiliar dark energy.
"Where… am I…"
He stood up slowly.
The ground beneath him looked like black stone, cracked and glowing faintly with purple light. Strange floating particles drifted in the air like dying embers.
The sky… or what looked like a sky… was completely black.
There was no sun.
No moon.
Only darkness.
Arif clenched his fists.
"This must be… Shadow Abyss."
The moment he said it—

Arif nodded slowly.
"I'm close…"
But suddenly—
He felt something.
A presence.
Not one.
Many.
Arif turned quickly.
Dark figures slowly emerged from the fog.
Shadow creatures.
Their bodies looked distorted, twisted, like broken shadows.
Their eyes glowed faintly red.
"They noticed me already…"
The creatures growled.
Then—
They charged.
Arif activated Shadow Step instantly.
He moved forward.
"Shadow Strike!"
His blade cut through the first creature.
It dissolved into black smoke.
But more kept coming.

Ten.
More.
Arif moved quickly.
His attacks became faster.
Shadow creatures fell one by one.
But something felt strange.
"They're weaker… but there are too many."
Suddenly—
One creature grabbed his arm.
Arif cut it instantly.
But more surrounded him.
Arif jumped back.
"Shadow Domain!"
Darkness spread.
The creatures slowed.
Arif moved quickly.
Within seconds—
All creatures were destroyed.
Silence returned.
Arif exhaled slowly.
"This place… is already dangerous."

Arif frowned.
"Already?"
The ground trembled slightly.

A tall figure appeared.
A humanoid shadow.
Much stronger aura.
The creature's eyes glowed deep purple.
Arif narrowed his eyes.

The creature vanished.
Arif reacted instantly.

Their blades collided.
Arif slid back slightly.
"So fast…"
The shadow creature attacked again.
Its movements were sharp and precise.
Arif dodged.
Then countered.
They clashed repeatedly.
The battlefield shook.
Arif activated Shadow Awakening.
Dark aura surrounded him.
He rushed forward.
Their clash intensified.

Arif found an opening.
He attacked the creature's chest.
The creature screamed.
It shattered into dark particles.
Silence fell again.
But then—
Arif heard something.
A faint sound.
"...Help…"
Arif froze.
He looked around.
"That voice…"
It sounded familiar.

"...Lina?"
Arif rushed forward.
He followed the sound.
The fog thickened.
The air grew colder.

He reached a broken structure.
Ruins.
Ancient ruins.
The voice came from inside.
Arif stepped forward carefully.
Inside—
He saw something shocking.
A shadow prison.
And inside—
A girl.
Arif's eyes widened.
"Lina?!"
She stood quietly.
Her head lowered.
Dark chains wrapped around her.
Arif rushed forward.
"Lina!"
She slowly raised her head.
Her eyes…
Glowed dark purple.
Arif froze.
"Lina…?"
She looked at him.
But her expression…
Was cold.
Emotionless.
"Arif…"
Her voice sounded distant.
Arif stepped closer.
"I'm here… I'm taking you back."
He tried to break the chains.
But suddenly—
Dark energy exploded.
Arif was pushed back.
Lina stepped forward slowly.
Her aura grew darker.
Arif's eyes widened.
"Lina… what's happening…?"
She looked at him quietly.
"I can't leave."
Arif shook his head.
"No… you're coming with me."

She raised her hand.
Dark blades formed.
Arif froze.
"Lina…?"
She attacked.
Arif barely blocked.

"Lina… stop!"
She attacked again.

Her expression remained emotionless.
"I must… eliminate… intruder."
Arif's heart dropped.
"She's being controlled…"
They clashed repeatedly.
Arif only defended.
He refused to attack.
"Lina… wake up!"
She attacked again.
Arif blocked.
Suddenly—
She disappeared.
She appeared behind him.
Arif barely dodged.
Her power…
Was stronger than before.
"She's gotten stronger…"

The ground trembled.
A dark voice echoed.
"Interesting…"
Arif froze.
He looked up.
A massive shadow figure appeared above.
Arif narrowed his eyes.
"Shadow King…"
The Shadow King smiled faintly.
"You found her quickly."
Arif clenched his fists.
"Release her."
The Shadow King shook his head.
"She's already mine."
Arif's eyes burned with anger.
"I won't let you."
The Shadow King chuckled.
"Then defeat her."
Arif froze.
"What…?"
The Shadow King smiled.
"If you can't defeat her…"
"She'll kill you."
Lina attacked again.
Arif blocked.
The battle had begun.
But this time—
His opponent…
Was the person he loved.
