WILLA
That douchebag was Eric's brother?!
Now I could see the familiar resemblance. Eric and their father could practically be twins, while Kain shared more features with his mother.
But attitude-wise? Of course they were family. Eric had been a total prick the first time I met him, and their father was still really scary.
I wondered why none of them took after their mother. She seemed genuinely sweet. Or maybe I shouldn't judge her based on only a few seconds of interaction.
"Is Eric coming?" I asked, suddenly curious. If his family was here, I was sure he would be too.
Kol looked at me with narrowed eyes. "Am I not enough for you?"
"No," I shook my head quickly. "I mean, his family is here, so…" I trailed off with a slight shrug.
"I'd rather he stay wherever the fuck he is," Kol grunted. "I'm not ready to share you with anyone."
I flushed at the raw sincerity in his voice and tried to reassure him. "It's okay," I said, gripping his tie and smoothing it down.
