Chapter 38 - LEFT WITHOUT............ANY CLUE

It started like any normal day.

Until it didn't.

"Where's Jay?"

Silence.

Rooms checked.

Hallways searched.

Nothing.

A strange feeling crept in.

"…this isn't right," Gorya said quietly.

📄 [SCENE 2 – THE NOTE]

Percy found it.

On the table.

Folded neatly.

"…she left something."

Everyone gathered.

He opened it.

Read aloud—

"I'm going. Don't look for me for some time.Take care of yourselves… I'll come back."

Silence.

Long.

Heavy.

"…that's it?" Kit snapped.

"No date?" MJ added.

"No location?" Kanning's voice dropped.

"No explanation?" Aum finished.

😡 [SCENE 3 – REALIZATION]

Kavin looked at the note again.

"…she didn't tell us anything."

Gorya's voice trembled slightly.

"…not even when she'll return…"

Her mom sat down slowly.

"…she just left…"

Tita Gema whispered,

"…like we wouldn't stop her…"

Kuya Angelo clenched his jaw.

"…we would have."

💥 [SCENE 4 – CHAOS WITHOUT DIRECTION]

Kit paced.

"Where do we even start?"

MJ:

"We don't even know where she went."

Kanning:

"She erased the trail."

Aum:

"On purpose."

Aries crossed his arms.

"She doesn't want to be found."

Silence.

That hit.

📸 [SCENE 5 – THE ONLY CLUE]

Kavin suddenly looked at his phone.

"…wait."

Everyone turned.

"…there's something."

He showed them.

Photos.

Jay.

At the airport.

Smiling.

Calm.

"…fans posted this," he said.

Kit grabbed the phone.

"…when was this?"

"…early morning."

MJ:

"…so she left today…"

Kanning narrowed his eyes.

"…but where?"

No answer.

Gorya stared at the photo.

"…she looked fine…"

Aum replied quietly,

"…she always does."

Her mom held the note tightly.

"…she didn't even tell me…"

Percy:

"She didn't tell anyone."

Kuya Angelo:

"…she made sure of that."

Everyone turned to Keifer.

He hadn't moved.

Still holding the note.

Reading it again.

"…I'll come back."

He repeated it quietly.

Then looked up.

"…that's all she gave us."

Silence.

Snow fell quietly outside.

The city slept.

But not her.

Jay stood inside an empty training hall.

Lights dim.

Floor cold.

Air sharp.

Her breath steady.

"…just a little," she muttered.

She removed her jacket.

Wrapped her hands.

Paused.

"…I'm fine now."

A lie.

She knew it.

First strike—

Controlled.

Second—

faster.

Third—

harder.

Her movements were sharp.

Precise.

Like before.

Like nothing had changed.

"…see… fine…"

Punch.

Kick.

Turn.

She moved faster now.

Too fast

She stepped in—

threw a full-force punch—

CRACK.

A sharp sound.

Her body froze.

Silence.

Then—

pain.

Sudden.

Deep.

Her hand dropped instantly.

"…tch—"

She clenched her jaw.

"…it's nothing…"

But her fingers—

weren't moving properly.

Jay shook her hand slightly.

Pain shot up her arm.

"…just impact…"

She tried again.

Raised her hand.

Made a fist—

Stopped.

"…damn…"

Her breathing slowed.

But her eyes didn't soften.

Instead of stopping—

She adjusted.

Used her other hand.

Kicks instead of punches.

Movement instead of strikes.

"…I'm not stopping…"

Her body protested.

But she didn't listen

She sat on the floor.

Hand resting on her lap.

Slight swelling visible now.

She stared at it.

Silent.

"…fracture…"

She knew.

Didn't need confirmation.

Next morning.

Bandage.

Loose glove.

Covered.

No one questioned.

No one noticed.

At least—

that's what she thought

Conference room.

"Ma'am, the next report—"

Jay raised her left hand.

"…continue."

No hesitation.

No sign of pain.

Even when her injured hand rested still—

completely unused.

Warehouse.

Reports came in.

Operations running.

Everything moving smoothly.

Jay stood there—

silent.

Commanding.

"No delays."

Her voice didn't shake.

Even when her hand throbbed under the bandage.

Back home—

The villa felt empty.

Too quiet.

No random complaints.

No soft voice asking for anything.

Just absence.

Gorya sighed.

"…it's been days…"

Aum nodded.

"…no update."

MJ:

"…nothing."

Kit:

"…she really left…"

Keifer stood alone.

Phone in hand.

Still nothing.

No messages.

No calls.

He looked at the note again.

"…you said you'd come back…"

Pause.

"…not disappear."

Night.

Jay stood by the window again.

Her injured hand resting against the glass.

She winced slightly.

Then—

ignored it.

"…it's fine…"

She looked down at her phone.

Still nothing.

She expected that.

She was told to rest

Told to stop.

Told to trust them.

But instead—

she stood there—

injured—

alone—

proving once again—

that even when she was breaking—

she wouldn't let anyone see it.
