After the evaluation at the guild, Ragar brought me back home. But, I wonder why they acted as if Ragar was really strong?
"Sakura, let's have some lunch" Ragar asked, after cooking lunch.
I sat down at the table, slowly eating my food. Maybe I should ask Ragar?
"Ragar, I have a question. How come they acted as if you're strong? Weren't you only A ranked back then?".
Ragar chuckles at my question.
"Sakura, right now, S ranked adventurers aren't what they used to be, other then a few. Now, they get ranked based on merits, not power". Ragar replied, as if the new generation had betrayed his expectations.
"So, are you stronger then a S rank?"
"Most of them". Ragar answered.
So, that means A ranks were really strong. I'm so glad that my teacher is very strong. But, if people are getting weaker, what about the classic Demon Kings I see in isekai manga!? Hopefully they aren't in this world, it's not like the authors went into a different world.

After saying goodnight to Ragar, I went to bed. As I fall to sleep, I can't help but feel an ominous feeling. In the dead of night, something had exploded.
"What's that noise..."
The house is on fire. I ran out into the living room to get Ragar, but what I saw there was none other then Ragar, face first on the ground. I feel my blood getting cold as I looked at his body. His right arm was missing, and what's there instead was a massive pool of blood. I rush over to Ragar's side and tried to stop the bleeding.
"Ragar, no! Don't die, stay with me!"
I can feel the tears running down my face as I cried when he didn't respond. But, what I saw next was even more horrifying. The silver dagger Ragar had gave me was stuck into his heart.
"No... who did this!?" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain on my back, and then coldness, the coldness of my warm blood flowing out of my body. I turned around to see the demon I had saw on my first day here. She killed those S ranked adventurers!?
"Well, well, well". The demon laughs as she talks. "I saw you in that forest, and guess what? My perfect plan. Frame you for murder". She dissappears into the night.
I start feeling faintly, is this because of the blood lost? Suddenly, the door crashes down and knights rush in.
"What is this!? There's a dead body!"
"That girl over there... she's got red eyes!". The knights start backing away at the sight of my eyes.
"Don't be afraid people! She's wounded". A knight is shiny silver armor points out.
"Wait... is that... Ragar?". The silver knight's face twists in fear as he sees Ragar's broken body.
"Capture her! Now!". The knight's yelled.
They tie me up and put magic restraining items on me. I couldn't fight back, I took too much damage from the wound. After leading leading to the castle, the men dragged me down into a dungeon where they chained me down.
