Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: The House of Truth

The old house stood silently beneath the pale moonlight.

Ayesha stared at it, her chest tightening with memories she had tried to forget for years.

The broken wooden fence.

The large oak tree in the yard.

The cracked windows that once reflected warm family evenings.

But tonight…

The house felt different.

Colder.

Darker.

More dangerous.

Ryan stepped beside her and studied the building carefully.

"So this is where you grew up."

Ayesha nodded slowly.

"Yes."

Arian walked toward the front door and examined the lock.

"It's been forced open recently."

Ryan frowned.

"So someone really is inside."

Ayesha's heartbeat quickened.

The mastermind's message echoed in her mind again.

"The truth is waiting there."

She took a deep breath.

"Let's go in."

Entering the Past

The door creaked loudly as they pushed it open.

Dust filled the air.

The house smelled old and abandoned.

Moonlight filtered through the broken windows, casting long shadows across the floor.

Every step Ayesha took felt strange.

This place used to be full of life.

Her mother cooking in the kitchen.

Her father reading books in the living room.

Laughter.

Warmth.

Now there was only silence.

Ryan moved carefully, checking every room.

"Clear."

Arian scanned the walls and furniture.

"This place hasn't been lived in for years."

Ayesha walked slowly through the hallway.

Her hand brushed against the faded wallpaper.

Memories flooded back.

But something about the house didn't match her memories anymore.

Something had changed.

The Hidden Room

Arian suddenly stopped near the staircase.

"Wait."

He crouched down and examined the wooden floor.

"What is it?" Ryan asked.

Arian tapped the floor with his knuckles.

A hollow sound echoed beneath it.

Ryan raised an eyebrow.

"Hidden basement?"

Arian nodded.

"Looks like it."

Ayesha stared at the floor in shock.

"There was never a basement here."

Ryan smirked slightly.

"Looks like your parents had secrets."

Arian carefully pried open the wooden panel.

Underneath it was a metal hatch.

With a keypad lock.

Ryan whistled softly.

"Well… that's definitely not normal."

Arian began examining the keypad.

"It needs a code."

Ayesha stepped closer.

Her mind was racing.

If her parents really had a secret laboratory…

Then maybe the code wasn't random.

Maybe it was something personal.

She slowly typed four numbers.

0513

Ryan looked confused.

"What's that?"

Ayesha whispered,

"My birthday."

The keypad beeped.

Then—

Click.

The hatch unlocked.

The Secret Laboratory

The metal door creaked open.

A dark staircase descended deep beneath the house.

Arian turned on a flashlight.

"Stay close."

They slowly walked down the stairs.

And what they found below changed everything.

The basement wasn't a storage room.

It was a laboratory.

Old computers lined the walls.

Scientific equipment covered the tables.

Stacks of research files filled metal cabinets.

Ryan stared around in disbelief.

"Your parents were definitely not teachers."

Arian opened one of the computer terminals.

Dust covered the keyboard, but the system still had power.

He turned it on.

The screen flickered to life.

A login screen appeared.

But before Arian could try anything…

The system unlocked automatically.

A message appeared on the screen.

"Welcome back, Ayesha."

Everyone froze.

Ryan looked at her.

"Did you do that?"

Ayesha shook her head slowly.

"No."

Arian stared at the screen carefully.

"The system recognized your biometrics."

Ayesha's heart pounded wildly.

"Meaning what?"

Arian answered quietly.

"It means this lab was built for you."

The Final File

A new file appeared on the screen.

Labeled simply:

PROJECT A.

Ryan crossed his arms.

"That can't be a coincidence."

Arian opened the file.

A video recording started playing.

The image showed two people sitting in front of the camera.

Ayesha's parents.

They looked nervous.

Her mother spoke first.

"Ayesha… if you're watching this…"

"…it means we failed."

Ayesha's eyes filled with tears.

Her father continued.

"We created something extraordinary."

"But powerful people want to use it as a weapon."

Ryan leaned closer.

"What did they create?"

The answer came seconds later.

Her mother looked directly at the camera.

"We created you."

Cliffhanger

The room went completely silent.

Ayesha felt the ground beneath her feet disappear.

Ryan stared at the screen in shock.

Arian whispered,

"That's impossible…"

But the video wasn't finished.

Her father spoke again.

"Ayesha, your mind contains the key to the most advanced neural technology ever developed."

Ayesha's heart pounded violently.

The mastermind's words suddenly made sense.

The games.

The tests.

The traps.

He wasn't just hunting her.

He was trying to unlock her potential.

The screen suddenly flickered.

A new message appeared.

Unknown user connected.

A familiar voice filled the laboratory speakers.

The mastermind.

"Congratulations, Ayesha."

His tone was calm.

Almost pleased.

"You've finally discovered who you really are."

The lights in the laboratory suddenly shut off.

And the mastermind whispered one final sentence.

"Now… the real experiment begins."
