Chapter 51 - The Red Dot

Tokyo felt different. The neon lights were still there, but the digital hum that usually vibrated in the air was gone. It was replaced by a heavy, natural silence that felt almost wrong. Jin stood on a balcony overlooking Shibuya, watching thousands of people celebrate their freedom . They were hugging, crying, and looking at the real stars for the first time.

"Jin," Mi-na's voice called out from behind him. She sounded tired but stable. Her silver veins were faint now, glowing with a soft white light that felt peaceful. "Rin is worried. She says the data-leak from the tower wasn't just souls returning to their bodies."

Jin turned to look at her. He didn't have his green-circuit veins anymore, but his eyes still felt sharp, like he was looking through a lens that saw too much . "What did she find?"

"It's not what she found, Jin. It's what everyone is carrying," Mi-na said, holding up her left hand.

In the center of her palm, a tiny red dot was pulsing . It wasn't a wound or a pixel; it looked like a drop of blood that was trying to eat the skin around it. Jin looked at his own palm. The same red dot was there, flickering in sync with his heartbeat .

Suddenly, a scream ripped through the celebration in the streets below. Jin leaned over the railing. A man in the middle of the crossing was convulsing, his body stretching and twisting in ways that were impossible for a human. Black smoke—the Void—was pouring out of his eyes and mouth .

"The System was a cage, Jin," a cold, new voice whispered in his mind. It wasn't the Admin or Zero. It was something much older. "But cages are also built to keep things out. Now, the door is open. And we are very, very hungry."

Jin gripped the hilt of his Atlas Kummiya. The white mana began to hiss as it touched the air. "Mi-na, get Rin and the others. The war isn't over. It just changed its face."

The man in the street stopped screaming. His body turned into a jagged, faceless shadow that stood three meters tall. He looked up at Jin, and a red message flickered in the sky above Tokyo: [QUEST: SURVIVE THE FIRST EROSION].
