The three began to approach slowly.
Three hundred meters, two hundred meters, one hundred meters... Just then—a dull roar suddenly erupted from inside the three-story old building!
"Boom!"
A hole nearly a meter in diameter exploded in the outer wall, and brick fragments fell like rain!
The edges of the opening were jagged, as if it had been blasted through from the inside by brute force.
Leo paused, his gaze locking onto the hole.
There was movement. That area was an abandoned residential zone, long since uninhabited. The only ones capable of causing such a commotion in a place like this were Feitan and Phinks.
Although he didn't know why they had suddenly destroyed the wall, it undoubtedly served as a reminder—the targets were right there.
"A good opportunity."
Leo turned his head to look at Sophia and nodded slightly.
Sophia immediately understood, taking Shizuku to circle around the side, their figures quickly disappearing around the corner of the alley.
Three minutes ago, Phinks had received a call from Pakunoda, informing him that Uvogin, Franklin, Shanark, and Kortopi had gone missing and were highly likely dead. The leader had ordered everyone to assemble as a precaution, with the time and location to be announced in two days.
Phinks' expression changed drastically. He felt immense shock and, unable to accept it for the moment, wanted to vent the anger in his heart.
Not far away, Leo stood in place, waiting quietly. Two minutes, he counted silently in his heart.
That was enough time for Sophia and Shizuku to get into position.
Then—he moved.
Nen erupted with a roar!
The ground beneath his feet shattered into spiderweb-like cracks as Leo shot toward the three-story old building like a cannonball!
In the night, his figure was so fast that only a blur remained, a series of low sonic booms exploding in the air!
He pulled his right fist back, his muscles tightening like steel cables.
Nen frantically gathered and compressed toward his fist—the light shifted from white to incandescent, finally turning into a blinding gold!
A sphere of light nearly half a meter in diameter formed in front of his fist, the energy inside rotating and colliding wildly, emitting a low thunder!
He was still twenty meters from the old building.
Leo saw the hole and the faint figures inside it.
He did not hesitate.
Super Destruction Fist—!!!
As he threw his punch, the golden sphere of light detached from his fist, like a small meteorite, blasting straight toward the broken wall!
Boom—!!!!!!!!!!
An explosion beyond description!
The golden light instantly swallowed the entire three-story old building!
The shockwave spread rapidly in all directions like a ring of destruction!
Buildings within a fifty-meter radius collapsed as if made of paper, the ground was overturned layer by layer, and concrete fragments, twisted steel bars, and broken glass were mixed together, swept up by the shockwave and shot in all directions!
Dust and smoke rose into the sky, forming a small mushroom cloud!
The explosion lasted for a full ten seconds before gradually subsiding.
When the dust cleared slightly, the three-story old building that had hidden the two Spiders had completely disappeared.
Only a small, irregular portion of the concrete foundation remained at the bottom, along with a few misshapen, twisted steel bars pointing stubbornly toward the night sky, like the pale, broken bones left behind after a giant beast died.
Leo landed on the edge of the ruins, Nen swirling around him, his cold eyes scanning the center of the explosion.
He knew this strike wouldn't kill Feitan and Phinks.
The core members of the Phantom Troupe were not that easy to kill.
Sure enough, in the center of the ruins, a pile of twisted steel and concrete fragments was suddenly pushed aside!
Two figures crawled out, looking disheveled.
Feitan and Phinks. Both of their clothes were torn into rags, their faces and bodies covered in wounds and blood.
Only half of Feitan's black leather trench coat remained, exposing his lean, muscular, and slowly bleeding upper body; Phinks had a wound on his right shoulder that was gushing blood.
They had survived—but they were severely injured.
The moment the explosion occurred, both had instinctively used Ken to protect their vital points.
But with the room's walls acting as a buffer, and since the explosion came from the outside, although they were disheveled, they had not lost their combat capability.
Phinks raised his head, his gaze locking onto the white figure at the edge of the ruins.
His eyes instantly bloodshot, he looked like an enraged beast!
Feitan did not speak.
He just stood there, his dead, silent eyes staring fixedly at Leo, like a viper eyeing its prey.
Leo did not give them a chance to catch their breath.
He stomped his foot, the concrete foundation beneath him shattering, and he transformed into a streak of white light, charging toward the two!
At the same time—two figures erupted from the shadows of the ruins on either side!
Sophia surged forward from the right rear, her fist wrapped in dense Nen, aiming straight for Feitan's back!
Shizuku rushed out from the left rear, the vacuum cleaner in her hand, swinging it fiercely at Phinks' side!
Feitan and Phinks turned simultaneously!
But Sophia's speed was too fast, and the timing was too tricky.
"Bang!"
Her fist landed solidly on Feitan's back!
Feitan let out a muffled grunt, staggering forward, a trace of blood spilling from the corner of his mouth.
He drew his umbrella sword with a backhand motion, stabbing at Sophia's throat the instant the blade left its sheath!
Sophia had been prepared; after landing her blow, she retreated repeatedly, narrowly avoiding the fatal sword strike.
"Damn it—!" Phinks roared, his Nen erupting as he met Leo head-on!
Shizuku gripped the long handle of the vacuum cleaner with both hands, attacking from behind!
Phinks let out a muffled grunt, stumbling forward from the impact, right into Leo's attack!
He hurriedly raised his hand to block, trading a punch with Leo. A massive force struck him, his arm instantly going numb, and he was sent flying, crashing through a wall and ultimately being buried beneath a pile of rubble.
Feitan did not pursue.
He stood in place, reaching up to wipe the blood from the corner of his mouth, looking down at the scarlet stain on his palm.
Then he raised his head.
On that sinister, distorted face, killing intent surged as if it were tangible.
"Really... pushing your luck... damn it..."
His voice was low and rapid, and he began to emit unintelligible syllables from his throat.
The Nen around his body began to surge abnormally, and the temperature rose sharply—it was the precursor to activating his ultimate ability, "Rising Sun"!
Once he unleashed this ability, everything within a hundred-meter radius would be burned to ashes by the high temperature!
But this was the moment Sophia had been waiting for.
She clapped her hands together.
On Feitan's back—the spot where her fist had just struck—a pale blue mark suddenly appeared.
At the same time, the same mark appeared on Leo.
That was the mark of the "Duel Arena," which she had left on Leo beforehand.
"Ability activation—Duel Arena!"
The next second—Feitan's body stiffened violently!
He discovered in horror that the surging, explosive Nen within his body had completely stalled, like a river instantly frozen!
Not only that, but his entire body was enveloped and pulled by an irresistible force—everything went black before his eyes.
When Feitan opened his eyes again, he was standing in a completely unfamiliar space.
The ground was hard black stone slabs, and the surroundings and ceiling were translucent Nen barriers, through which he could see the blurry, flowing lights and shadows outside.
Sophia stood at the edge of one side of the arena, her clothes having changed at some point into a black and white referee's uniform. She held a whistle in her hand, her expression serious.
Leo stood on the other side of the arena, rotating his wrists, a smile curling at the corner of his mouth.
