Yuki was the first to move, or rather, Yuki had already moved before anyone could see her.
The two archers who were farthest from the group, up on watchtowers, fell to the ground at the same time with clean cuts across their throats. They didn't even have time to bleed before their bodies hit the floor, and nobody noticed.
And then Aria raised both hands.
"Reinforcement Spell: Magic Amplification!"
A pulse of light left Aria's palms and wrapped around Ely, Alice, Rose, and Yuki all at once.
The glow was brief, barely a flash that swept across the four bodies before disappearing.
But the effect was immediate.
"Reinforcement Spell: Defense Boost!"
Another pulse left Aria's hands, this one fainter, and wrapped around the four with an almost invisible layer that adhered to their bodies.
"Reinforcement Spell: Speed Boost!"
A third pulse went out and made the four move faster.
Buff after buff fell on the others, pushing their abilities to even more absurd levels.
