Mark screamed, his eyes snapping open as he felt the woman's fangs sink deep into his flesh.
"Shit!"
The pain was intense, like two burning knives driving into his skin.
But his cry was enough to signal that something had gone wrong.
In an instant, both Yuki and Vorax moved to defend him.
Yuki appeared out of nowhere beside the woman, materializing from the shadows with her dagger already in hand, and in one fluid, precise motion pressed the blade against the woman's throat, pushing just hard enough that a thin line of blood began to form.
"Get your filthy fangs out of my Master's shoulder," Yuki ordered coldly. "Now."
At the same time, Vorax shot out from inside Mark's robe, his gelatinous, viscous body expanding rapidly.
The slime wrapped around the woman's body in an instant, trapping her completely from the neck down.
Caught completely off guard, the woman wrenched her fangs from Mark's shoulder with a choked gasp, Mark's blood still dripping from her lips.
