Chapter 170 - Chapter 171: Under Attack

Thor listened with great interest, interrupting Happy from time to time to ask various questions, filled with curiosity about everything in Miami.

Loki leaned against the car window, resting with his eyes closed, occasionally opening them to glance at the scenery outside.

Mavuika listened gently to Happy's introduction, a faint smile on her lips, occasionally looking out the window to feel the vitality and warmth of the city.

The car drove slowly down a bustling street lined with shops and crowded with people, a scene of immense activity.

Just then, a black SUV behind them suddenly accelerated and slammed hard into the rear of the car Happy was driving.

With a loud 'bang,' the car shook violently, and cracks spiderwebbed across the windows. Happy instinctively slammed on the brakes to steady the vehicle.

"What's going on?" Happy's expression changed instantly as he gripped the steering wheel, looking outside warily.

The door of the black SUV opened, and a tall, bald man stepped out.

He wore black combat fatigues, and a faint red glow swirled around him. His skin had an unnatural dark red hue, his eyes were cold, and a playful smirk played on his lips. He exuded a scorching aura, like a volcano on the verge of eruption.

"How are you driving?"

Happy looked at the bald man, thinking it was just a simple traffic accident.

Eric Savin walked slowly to the front of the car, crossing his arms with a grim smirk, his tone arrogant.

"Happy Hogan, right?"

His voice carried a scorching heat, as if every word could ignite the air.

Happy was stunned for a moment: "You know me?"

"Ha, something like that," Eric Savin smiled.

As he spoke, his palm moved slightly, instantly turning fiery red with extreme heat, causing the surrounding air to distort from the burn.

"What do you want?" No matter how slow Happy was, he realized something was wrong now.

He stood guard warily in front of the car, reaching for his waist, trying to protect Mavuika and the other two behind him.

Eric Savin didn't take Happy seriously at all, reaching out toward him with a flippant tone and casual movements.

"What do I want? Don't be afraid, I just want to shake hands and make a friend."

As the words fell, Eric Savin lunged forward, attempting to grab Happy's arm.

Happy's expression changed, and he instinctively tried to dodge, but the opponent was too fast; he couldn't move in time.

Just then, a gold and red figure appeared in front of Happy at some unknown moment.

Mavuika raised her hand slightly, taking the man's hand in place of Happy.

Eric Savin was taken aback for a moment, but he didn't mind if someone was looking for death.

His lips curled; he didn't use much physical strength, but instead constantly surged the power of Extremis, raising the temperature of his palm to a level capable of melting steel.

Eric Savin looked at Mavuika mockingly, expecting to see her expression change as her palm was charred to cinders.

But he was destined to be disappointed.

As the temperature continued to rise, even reaching the maximum heat Extremis could achieve, Mavuika still showed no reaction.

Eric Savin realized something was wrong; the smile on his face gradually vanished, replaced by astonishment.

He looked down at his own palm; the glowing red color indicated his ability was functioning normally.

But why? Why was the woman opposite him completely unaffected?

Mavuika's palm remained fair and delicate, as if the high temperature capable of melting gold and forging iron simply didn't exist.

The flames in Eric Savin's palm were nearly three thousand degrees, enough to Melt steel and instantly turn mortals to ash.

But to Mavuika, this three-thousand-degree heat felt like nothing more than a hint of warmth, like winter sunlight—warm but not burning.

"What?" Eric Savin's eyes widened, filled with shock and disbelief.

"This is impossible! My flames are nearly three thousand degrees, how could you..."

Mavuika looked down at his fist, then looked up at his face.

"Three thousand degrees? It's quite cozy."

He couldn't believe that his proud high-temperature flames were easily blocked by a seemingly fragile woman.

Furthermore, this woman didn't even show a hint of discomfort, as if his flames were merely insignificant little sparks.

"Die!"

As the words fell, Eric Savin's body instantly erupted with a brilliant red light. The surrounding temperature rose again, the air distorted further, and the concrete ground began to Melt rapidly, turning into a viscous, lava-like state.

His arm swelled slightly, his skin became harder, and the flames in his palm grew even more intense, turning from dark red to a brilliant orange-red.

Eric Savin roared and lunged at Mavuika with extreme speed, leaving a red afterimage behind.

His fist, wreathed in scorching flames, smashed toward Mavuika's chest. Wherever the fist passed, the air hissed and crackled from the heat, possessing immense power.

Mavuika's expression remained calm, and she didn't dodge at all.

Just as Eric Savin's fist was about to strike her chest, she raised her hand slightly and gently caught it.

"Sizzle—"

Eric Savin's fist made a piercing sound as it contacted Mavuika's palm.

The scorching flames burned wildly against her hand, yet Mavuika's palm was completely unharmed, leaving not even a trace of a burn.

Eric Savin's eyes bulged in shock. He tried to wrench his hand away, but Mavuika's hand was like an iron vise; no matter how much force he used, it wouldn't budge.

"Impossible! This is absolutely impossible!"

Eric Savin roared, his voice full of despair and resentment: "You... what kind of monster are you?"

"Monster?" Mavuika shook her head gently.

As she spoke, Mavuika exerted a bit of force, and the Gold-Red Divine Power in her palm instantly flooded into Eric Savin's body.

Eric Savin let out a shrill scream, his body trembling violently.

He could feel an even more intense heat surging into him.

It was an absolute high temperature that even the Extremis virus in his body could not resist, as if he were facing not a person, but a blazing sun.

A flash of madness crossed Eric Savin's eyes. He knew he was likely no match for the woman before him, and defeating her was almost impossible.

But he was unwilling. He refused to fail like this, refused to lose the power he was so proud of.
