Chapter 22 - War Preparation In Emerald Valley

War Preparation in Emerald Valley

The night slowly covered Emerald Valley with darkness, but this time the darkness did not feel peaceful. The stars were hidden behind clouds, and the wind moved quietly through the trees like a warning. After the attack of General Kharos, the entire valley had become more alert. The green glow of the Master Emerald was now stronger, spreading protective energy across the land like a shield.

Arin stood at the top of a small hill, looking down at the valley. Small lights from guardian torches burned across the training ground, and the traveler had placed protective symbols around the area. Mira was helping prepare supplies, while the traveler was drawing ancient markings on the ground.

The war was coming.

Arin took a deep breath.

"We don't have much time," he said quietly.

Mira walked toward him, carrying a small wooden box filled with glowing stones.

"You should rest," she said. "You fought General Kharos today and trained earlier. Your body needs strength."

Arin shook his head.

"If the Shadow Lord attacks again, I must be ready."

The traveler stepped closer and placed his staff on the ground.

"Mira is right," he said. "A Guardian must know when to fight and when to recover."

Arin looked at both of them and nodded slowly.

"I understand. But what should we do now?"

The traveler looked toward the center of the valley.

"Tonight, we prepare."

He pointed toward the ancient stone temple standing in the distance.

"There is something inside that temple you must see."

Mira looked surprised.

"The old temple?"

The traveler nodded.

"Yes. It holds the knowledge of the ancient Guardians."

Arin's eyes lit up slightly.

"Then let's go."

They walked through the quiet valley toward the temple. The temple was old and covered with vines, but it still stood strong like a protector of history. The large stone doors were sealed with ancient symbols.

The traveler raised his staff.

"These doors open only for the Guardian."

Arin stepped forward and placed his hand on the stone.

The Master Emerald glowed.

Green energy flowed from Arin's hand into the door.

Slowly, the symbols began to shine.

RUMBLE…

The massive doors slowly opened.

Inside the temple, the air felt ancient and powerful. Large stone walls were covered with drawings and writings of past Guardians, battles, and emerald powers. In the center of the temple stood a tall statue of a Guardian holding the Master Emerald.

Mira looked around in amazement.

"This place is incredible."

The traveler nodded.

"This is the Temple of Guardians. Every Guardian before you has passed through this place."

Arin walked slowly toward the statue.

"What am I supposed to learn here?"

The traveler pointed toward the walls.

"The history of the Master Emerald and the Shadow Lord."

Arin looked at the drawings.

One drawing showed a massive dark figure fighting a Guardian army.

Another showed the Master Emerald splitting into pieces of light.

Another showed the Shadow Lord being sealed away.

Arin frowned.

"The Shadow Lord was sealed before?"

The traveler nodded.

"Yes. Long ago, the ancient Guardians fought him and sealed him in the dark realm. But now he is slowly breaking free."

Mira crossed her arms.

"So if he breaks free completely, the world will fall into darkness."

The traveler nodded again.

"That is why the Master Emerald must remain protected."

Arin looked at the statue again.

"How can I stop him?"

The traveler walked toward a small stone platform.

On it was an old scroll.

"This contains the Guardian War Strategy."

Arin picked up the scroll and opened it.

Inside were battle formations, power techniques, and instructions for using emerald energy in large-scale war.

Mira looked impressed.

"This will help us prepare."

Suddenly, the Master Emerald began glowing rapidly.

The temple shook slightly.

Arin looked up.

"What's happening?"

The traveler looked serious.

"The Emerald is reacting to something."

A loud explosion echoed from outside.

BOOOOM!

Mira ran toward the door.

"Another attack!"

They rushed outside and looked toward the mountains.

Dark lights were moving across the sky.

Arin clenched his fists.

"Shadow forces again."

The traveler shook his head.

"No… this is different."

A large group of dark flying creatures appeared in the sky, heading toward Emerald Valley.

Mira stepped back.

"Flying shadow beasts…"

Arin stepped forward.

"Then we fight again."

The traveler raised his staff.

"Prepare the valley defenses!"

The green barrier around Emerald Valley began glowing stronger.

The Master Emerald floated into the air, shining brightly.

Arin stood at the front, ready for battle.

The flying shadow beasts moved closer, their red eyes glowing in the darkness.

The wind became stronger.

The ground trembled slightly.

Mira stood beside Arin.

"We are ready."

Arin nodded.

"Yes."

The traveler lifted his staff and pointed toward the sky.

"This is only the beginning of the war."

The shadow beasts screamed loudly as they charged toward the valley.

And Emerald Valley prepared to defend itself once again.
