At the same time, in the town, Jennifer and Ryan were speaking with the town head, David Wilson.
"It is good that you guys ditched Chad and that kiddo Caelus." David burst out laughing upon hearing the two.
"Caelus is a joker who has no value to my town. Chad, on the other hand, refuses to listen to me. He does as he pleases."
"We were wrong for entering his party in the first place," Jennifer said.
"He was wasting our time, helping his bum friend level up. He did not value our time at all."
"If he dies, then it is his fault, not ours," Ryan added.
"Very good," David said with a smile. "I like both of your temperaments. I will arrange a new party for you, do not worry."
"Thank you, David," Jennifer and Ryan said in unison.
They felt guilty for ditching Chad and Caelus before, but after talking with David, that feeling was completely gone. It was replaced with reverence for this man who lent a helping hand to them.
David smiled.
