Chapter 117 - — The Abyss Order’s Plan

"That's right… that ancient god."

"The investigation into him is considered just as important as the plan known as the 'Loom of Fate.'"

"But the Abyss Order's findings on him…"

"Are limited to events from three thousand years ago."

"As for anything beyond that—"

"His current whereabouts are completely unknown to them."

Dainsleif explained calmly.

"They don't even know where he is?"

Lumine and Paimon were surprised.

After all—

They knew exactly where he was.

Even so—

Lumine had no intention of telling Dainsleif anything about Guixu.

Compared to Dainsleif—

Guixu was her friend.

And he had helped her immensely.

Who knew what the Abyss Order planned to do—

By investigating him?

"…This isn't surprising."

Dainsleif shook his head.

"That god has been gone for three thousand years."

"The Abyss Order's knowledge of him is limited to history…"

"And scattered legends from a fallen ancient nation."

"So for now—"

"Their primary focus remains the 'Loom of Fate.'"

"After watching that preview…"

"Everything is starting to connect…"

Xuehua nodded as she progressed through the story.

[Yeah, Aether really did issue that investigation order]

[Lumine is definitely hiding things from Dain lol]

[Makes sense—Guixu helped her way more]

In order to stop the Abyss Order's plan—

The three of them gathered clues from multiple sources.

Eventually—

They uncovered information about the first-ever Field Tiller.

And deduced its location—

Stormterror's Lair.

After arriving—

They found it.

Through Dainsleif's explanation—

Lumine and Paimon finally understood the Abyss Order's plan.

The Abyss Order had been searching for—

The Eye of the first Field Tiller.

If they could place that eye—

Into the hands of the Defiled Statue—

And use it as a foundation—

Then combine it with the remains of—

The Overlord of the Vortex, Osial—

They could create—

A mechanical god.

And grant this newly born corrupted deity—

The power to challenge the divine throne of Celestia.

"…A mechanical god?"

Lumine froze.

But—

Osial's divine fragment…

Was already inside her.

Without its divine fragment—

Could Osial even still be called a god?

And hearing this plan—

She couldn't help but worry about Qiu Nian.

If the Abyss Order discovered him—

In his current injured state—

Would something happen?

Paimon also looked uneasy.

She knew the truth as well—

That Osial's fragment was now with the Traveler.

Had Qiu Nian—

Unintentionally disrupted the Abyss Order's plan?

"Wait…"

"Isn't Osial's divine fragment with Lumine?"

Xuehua was equally confused.

[Aether's plans are insane]

[First Dvalin, now Osial??]

[Does a god without a divine fragment still count as a god?]

[Guixu accidentally sabotaged their plan lol]

[Not really—Osial still has power even without it]

[So he's like a battery now??]

[Lumine: yeah bro I actually have two more of those]

Xuehua continued the quest.

"…What's wrong with you two?"

Dainsleif frowned slightly at their strange expressions.

"Nothing."

"Dain… I want to ask you something."

Lumine said.

"What is it?"

"If the Abyss Order really found that ancient god…"

"Could they pose any threat to him?"

"After all… he's said to rival the Geo Archon."

Dainsleif fell silent for a moment.

Then answered calmly:

"The Abyss Order has only existed for a few hundred years."

"Though it draws upon Abyssal power and Khaenri'ah's technology…"

"It lacks the foundation to confront any of the Seven Nations directly."

"That is why it operates in the shadows."

"As for that ancient god…"

"If his strength remains what it was three thousand years ago—"

"And if he truly walks Teyvat once more…"

"Then no—"

"I do not believe the Abyss Order could threaten him in open confrontation."

"Is he really that powerful?"

Paimon asked, playing along perfectly.

"…You would only understand his terror if you truly knew him."

Dainsleif gave a faint smile.

"If the Abyss Order were to face him head-on—"

"Then I say this without exaggeration…"

"They would be erased from Teyvat entirely."

"I see…"

Lumine nodded.

But—

Qiu Nian was injured now.

He probably wasn't as powerful as he once was…

Still—

The Abyss Order didn't dare act openly.

And even if they did—

Qiu Nian wasn't alone.

There were still the adepti.

And Zhongli.

Thinking of this—

She let out a quiet sigh of relief.

[Guixu from 3,000 years ago was insane]

[Too bad he's injured now]

[At least six gods slain—think about that]

Afterward—

Lumine and Paimon retrieved the Eye of the first Field Tiller—

And handed it over to Dainsleif.

Before leaving—

Dainsleif gave Lumine one final piece of advice.

"Always remain wary of the gods."

"Do not trust them blindly."

"But also—"

"Do not walk the path of overthrowing or hunting them."

"…Even when it comes to your enemy from that day."
