Oliver's eyes weakly opened as he returned to the real world. The first thing that greeted him was the loud, uncomfortable grumbling of his stomach.
"Oh shit, when last did I eat?" he muttered to himself, clutching his gut tightly as he pushed himself off the bed and staggered out of his room.
Following the familiar corridors of the mansion, his steps slow but steady, he eventually found his way to the kitchen. The scent of freshly cooked food lingered thick in the air, rich and inviting.
Inside, a maid was already dishing out meals, likely for the headmaster and the rest of the staff within the mansion.
She looked up the moment Oliver entered, her face lighting up with recognition. A gentle smile formed on her lips.
"You have grown a lot," she said warmly, patting his head softly before handing him one of the already prepared plates of rice.
