I can't see my current appearance—I can only notice the change in my hair. Its color is much lighter now. Before, it was pitch black; now it's a light brown.
I ran my hand over my face and realized that some parts had changed. My jawline was different, my nose had become slightly larger, and my eyes were a bit bigger. If I had to describe it, my appearance is now average.
I'm not ugly, but I'm not as handsome as before.
It's the ideal kind of appearance for not drawing attention.
Now that my appearance had changed, I walked toward the dungeon exit. I climbed the stairs and passed by a few adventurers who completely ignored me. It was as if I didn't exist. 'That was my goal.'
With a smile, I left.
I noticed some suspicious people—possibly from the Guild—watching those who entered and exited the dungeon. One of them looked at me but quickly averted his gaze and didn't approach me. 'Just like Nano said, security isn't very tight.'
As soon as I left the dungeon, I headed toward the bar where the illegal shop was located. It took me a while to get there. When I entered, there were two people inside, drinking. Behind the counter wasn't the same old man from before.
I didn't care and took out the magic stones and the two items I had collected from my pockets. I placed them on the counter and said, "I want to sell this."
The younger man, who looked to be in his forties, clicked his tongue and replied, "Come back at night. I'm not in charge of that."
"But I need money now. I need to buy a bag, a bottle, and food."
"I already told you to come back at night." The man looked at me with disdain.
I leaned over the counter and looked him in the eyes. He didn't flinch and held his ground. Nano analyzed his strength and determined that he was weaker than me.
Much weaker.
"I already told you I need money. Are you going to buy this or not?" I said coldly.
The man then glanced at the two men who were seated, and they stood up. They approached me from behind.
"Hey, who do you think you are? Why are you talking to Will like that?"
"If you keep this up, we'll have to do something about it."
'Nano, analyze their strength.'
[Both are weaker than you. Don't worry. If you touch them, I can handle it.]
'Touch them?'
[Exactly.]
I shrugged and quickly turned around, extending my hands.
"What!?"
"What are you doing!?"
I grabbed both of their faces with my hands, and a blue electric current surged from them. The men screamed and trembled—they were being electrocuted. It only lasted a few seconds, but it was enough to knock them unconscious.
As they fell to the ground, I asked:
'Nano, are they dead?'
[Don't worry, they won't die from something like that.]
I turned back to the man behind the counter, and he was sweating. I smiled at him and pointed at the magic stones and items. "Are you going to buy this or not? I'm running out of patience."
"Yes! Yes! I'll buy it."
The man hurriedly grabbed a large amount of money and handed it to me. Seeing the amount of bills and coins, my first thought was: 'These magic stones and items aren't worth this much.'
I guess he got scared and gave me more money than necessary.
Well, I'm not going to complain.
I left the bar and went to get what I needed to explore the dungeon for a few days.
####
First, I went looking for a bag. I quickly found a shop and bought a large one to carry plenty of magic stones, since I'd be staying in the dungeon for several days. It's also big enough to carry a lot of food.
It's basically a hiking/backpacking bag—pretty big.
The problem is the food. Depending on what I bring, it will spoil quickly. Still, the most important thing is water.
I'll only bring food for the first three or four days.
'Nano, there are many stalls here selling meat skewers and sandwiches. How long do they take before becoming inedible?'
[Meat skewers:
— At room temperature: 6 to 12 hours before they begin to spoil
Simple sandwiches:
— At room temperature: 8 to 16 hours, depending on the ingredients
Note: The dungeon environment may accelerate deterioration due to humidity and unstable magical energy.]
[Recommended solution:
— Consume food on the same day
— Prioritize dry items (hard bread, biscuits, dried meat)
— Use your energy to slightly reduce degradation]
[Conclusion: These foods are not suitable for multi-day storage. Water remains the priority.]
'I see… Then I'll buy some bread and dried meat. There's plenty of bread here—I'll try to find dried meat.'
I'm not going to waste my energy just to keep food from spoiling. That would be stupid.
After searching for a few minutes, I managed to buy plenty of bread, dried meat, and some biscuits that seemed durable. On top of that, I filled my bag with bottles of water. Even after all that, I still had a lot of money left.
'20,000 Valis left… That guy gave me a lot of money.' I smiled, amused by the situation.
'Could I buy armor with this?'
Well, I think I'll save this money for now.
I walked back to the dungeon and entered without any issues. As I explored the first floor again and made my way toward the second floor, I started thinking about Loki and Finn. I wonder what they're thinking right now.
Are they looking for me, or have they already given up?
I don't know exactly what happened to the members of the Loki Familia or how many of them died, but if she imprisoned me back then, the situation must be serious. She definitely won't leave me alone until she finds out what happened.
Even I've started to grow curious about what happened. I've asked Nano several times, but she refuses to tell me.
Maybe the god who sent me to this world has something to do with all of this.
I hope I recover those memories in the near future.
