Cold wind blew all around, the world was empty and still.
It was desolate, for no soul inhabited this place anymore.
But a single sound broke the silent atmosphere. It was a communicator.
It rang continuously without break but unfortunately there was no one to answer it anymore.
************************************************
It was not desolate, but bustling with noise, the sound of machinery and people. Various people dwelled witholding various emotions here. Some people bloomed in their blight and joy. Yet most were desperate and depressed.
Rain sat in her bed, her head was tucked down.
Her teacher had left her for Antarctica months ago, at that time, it seemed kinda upsetting however she had never thought of the worry and horror that she would feel.
His communicator had been silent for 3 months by now. At first she didn't think much of it, network went wrong in Antarctica every other day, her messages to Sunny were frequently not replied to for weeks on end. Especially that one time when he was in extreme danger.
But it had been too long for now. Then the news hit her, Falcon Scott was no more.
Days passed in silence. News of antartica came every day.
She waited throughout it all, yet no response came.
It was tiring, too dreadful, one possibility always dreaded her. She had never thought that his teacher's absence would sting her that much. She was full of absentminded, dread, grief and even guilty at her powerlessness.
But now something had changed.
The feeling of tiredness and grief had changed into simply "fear".
After all, she was about to die.
It had started 6 days ago, she started feeling sleepy all of a sudden. A physical and mental
strain seemed to envelop her all of a sudden.
The realization was brutal, "horrifying" even. She had been infected by the nightmare spell.
She needed Sunny at this time. Having him reassure her, encourage or have her do the most infuriating of trainings. But no, there was simply no one.
Maybe another version of her would have though of this as an opportunity, one to increase her strength, to be powerful enough to stop what was occurring at Antarctica.
But no, she was never really determined
enough, she hoped that she had that determination, but it had withered away somewhere along the line. Instead she felt something different. The opposite.
She felt fear. The fear of losing to the nightmare. She was scared, scared of her "Death".
She had grown up ready to accept that possibility, yet when it really became the truth. It was truly difficult to accept.
Why did this happen to her?
Why?
She did not even know where Sunny was.
How was he?
Was he alive?
Or dead?
And if really alive.
Where was he?

A brilliant sun danced in the sky, what it illuminated though was a wasteland, toxic air marked the atmosphere, waste and junk of a forgotten era decorated the barren ground and nightmare creatures, the only rulers of this place fought in a brutal war of survival.
One creatures here was not corrupted though.
A lonely shadowy figure glided through the ground, it moved without direction as if lost.
Suddenly the shadow seemed to take a physical form and manifested itself, it was a creatures with no fixed shape, adorning a thousand mouths.
Sunny looked around.
It had been quite a while since he started searching.
What he was searching?
He didn't know.
It had happened months ago. He had woken up with nothing.
No memories, no recollection of who he was.
Did not even know if he had any relations.
Only thing he remembered were a chaotic mass of broken pieces of memory he could not make sense of and the knowledge the Shadow God's legacy had bestowed upon him.
He knew that he used to be something but couldn't make sense of it.
What was he and why was he here?
He felt simply lost here.
He did not have a name so he deciced to call himself Sunless.
That name just felt oddly familiar.
Sunny stared at the direction ahead, strangely shaped and deformed mountains stretched as far as the eye could see.
Ever since having woken up, he had no direction on where to go. The world simply offered nothing. Only Creatures of corruption existed in this wasteland, ruled it by laws of chaos.
So he decided to himself a purpose.
Months had passed away since the start of his journey. It was only desolation that had met thim, yet he continued, continued to move forward.
To find a purpose, a purpose for himself.
