In two other locations on the island, the Fierce Elephant Pirate Crew and the Vanguard Pirate Crew both heard the massive "rumble."
They simultaneously looked towards the Octopus Pirate Crew's location, and combining that with the news their subordinates had just reported, they guessed that something must have happened to them.
The Fierce Elephant Pirate Crew's Captain, Robuck, was a five-meter-tall, muscular man resembling a golden wheel. Upon guessing that the Octopus Pirate Crew was in trouble, he slapped his thigh and laughed:
"I didn't expect that guy Sanjam would be the first one to have someone come knocking on his door."
"Let's go, my lads, grab your weapons, and we'll go take a look together."
A man standing next to Robuck, whose build was comparable to his, picked up a giant axe and rested it on his shoulder. He asked Robuck doubtfully, "Captain, are we just going to look? If Sanjam was defeated, going over there would be useless!"
"And if he hasn't been defeated yet, there's no need for us to rush over so quickly, right?"
Robuck, holding a huge mace and walking in front, heard his most trusted subordinate's confusion. He looked ahead, his eyes narrowing slightly, revealing a hint of ferocity. He explained slowly and deliberately:
"Brok, you haven't been with the Fierce Elephant Pirate Crew for a short time, but you still haven't seen how troublesome Sanjam is. He won't die so easily. You should see it soon enough."
"Lads, let's go!" Robuck led the way, quickening his pace toward the Octopus Pirate Crew.
At the Vanguard Pirate Crew's location, three men of normal height, around two meters tall, were sitting together. They had just finished listening to their subordinates' report.
Spu said with a serious expression, "We should go take a look. If we get a chance, we can kill them and seize control of this island."
Sioni immediately objected to Spu's suggestion: "Spu, we can't kill that monster Sanjam."
Spu turned toward Sioni, unconvinced: "But the situation is different now. You heard it just now, this is the best time. Moreover, we still have the power of the Devil Fruit..."
"With that kind of useless ability? What good is it for? To reassemble the houses that were knocked down?" Sioni interrupted Spu before he could finish.
Spu wanted to refute again but was interrupted by Fukadon speaking up: "No matter what, we have to go. We'll just react to the situation when we get there."
"Although we can't kill him, we can at least hold him off."
"Let's go!" He took the lead and walked toward the area, and the other two didn't object. They grabbed their weapons and followed.
Meanwhile, as Raiden Ei was looking at the ruins, slightly worried that it might damage the log pose...
"Crash!"
Amidst the ruins, Sanjam used all his tentacles to instantly fling away the wood pressing down on him. He looked utterly miserable, panting as he looked toward Raiden Ei.
Raiden Ei had already seen the surrounding pirates rushing over. She feared that the other two Pirate Crews must have heard that huge sound as well!
She hesitated no longer, gripping her demon blade, and strode forward toward Sanjam: "Since you're not dead yet, let me see if you truly cannot die."
"Swish!" Her figure flashed across the ruins like an afterimage.
Sanjam stared intently at Raiden Ei's figure, daring not to be careless. All his tentacles stretched out, instantly lunging at her: "Hah! Die!" His two lower tentacles braced against the ground, writhing as he charged toward Raiden Ei.
Facing the incoming tentacles, Raiden Ei's speed did not slow in the least. She swung her demon blade, and the slash instantly severed the tentacles.
"Bang bang bang bang!"
Innumerable tentacles were cut off, falling onto the ruins. Raiden Ei swept through, reaching Sanjam in just a few breaths.
Sanjam watched Raiden Ei, who was right before him. Disregarding the few tentacles he had left, he roared and lunged at her: "Aaaah! Die!"
Raiden Ei showed no mercy, swinging her demon blade incessantly. In an instant, she sliced Sanjam into several pieces as her figure flashed past him.
"Thump, thump thump!"
Raiden Ei turned to look. Sanjam's body, severed into pieces, fell onto the ruins with a crash. Instead of blood, a pool of slime sprayed out from his body.
She frowned slightly, raised her demon blade, and muttered to herself: "Still not dead? Then I'll deliver another strike!"
Armament Haki instantly wrapped around the demon blade. "Swish!" The blade swung down, and in a flash, a slash cut across Sanjam's corpse lying on the ground.
"Boom!"
The slash completely sheared away his tentacle corpse along with the surrounding ruins. Only some fragments of the tentacle corpse remained nearby. After the strike, the ground was left with only a deep pit five to six meters deep.
Raiden Ei lowered her demon blade, stating with certainty: "Now there isn't even a corpse left. Can you still not die?"
She turned to look at the members of the Octopus Pirate Crew who had arrived nearby. They had all witnessed the scene that just occurred, and different expressions appeared on every face.
However, one expression was the same: fear of Raiden Ei. This was most evident in Sese, who had guided her earlier.
He completely collapsed onto the ground, looking at Raiden Ei with extreme terror. Perhaps due to overthinking, his body began to tremble before she even acted against him. Looking at his current state, his mind seemed to have short-circuited.
The others weren't faring much better. Those loyal to Sanjam looked at Raiden Ei with anger, while the disloyal ones looked at her with fear, slowly backing away.
Raiden Ei ignored these pirate underlings and looked toward the two men who had been talking with Sanjam in the main hall earlier. They had also been pinned down when the house collapsed.
However, being pirates with bounties over ten million, they wouldn't be crushed to death by the weight of the house. They had just crawled out of the ruins when they saw Sanjam's utterly destroyed corpse, which terrified them.
Now, their gazes toward Raiden Ei were filled with horror, completely failing to show that they were pirates with bounties over ten million—pirates accustomed to murder, arson, robbery, and lust.
Raiden Ei walked up to them, looking down at them with an air of superiority, and spoke with an imposing tone: "Hand over the log pose pointing to Jaya Island immediately."
The two men couldn't help but tremble when they heard Raiden Ei's voice. They frantically fumbled in their pockets and pulled out several log poses of various sizes.
Their hands shook as they searched among the dozen or so log poses for the one pointing to Jaya Island. Soon they found it, and they held it out with both hands to Raiden Ei, saying with trembling voices:
"This is... this is the one for Jaya Island. Don't kill me, I just couldn't find it earlier. Don't kill us."
Raiden Ei took the log pose and carefully examined it in her hand. Confirming it was indeed the log pose pointing to Jaya Island, she satisfiedly stored it in the system backpack.
With this, the purpose of her coming here was considered complete. All that remained was to clean up this group of pirates.
