"Hmm, so this is the place where the Seven-Tails is being held..."
Outside the village, Sean stared at the entrance leading underground. The Hidden Waterfall Village ninjas had built an underground base outside the village to imprison the Seven-Tails here.
It was understandable why they built the base outside the village, but at the very least, they should have placed more guards here, because according to the information Sean extracted from the masked ninja, this place only had two guards at the Chunin level.
"Ninja Art: Shadow Clone Technique."
Boom!!
An exact copy of him appeared and descended without speaking. If Tobirama Senju saw this, he would give him a thumbs up.
This was his original intention when he invented the Shadow Clone Technique.
Testing traps instead of the main body, and that was exactly what Sean was doing now. He wouldn't risk entering directly. Despite the village's weak and simple resources, who knew if they had set a deadly trap.
It didn't take long before one of the clones came back up from the underground base.
"You can enter now, the beast is inside!" the clone said coldly, then formed a seal and performed the Transformation Technique.
Sean shook his head mockingly and wondered doubtfully as he looked away from the shadow clone that had transformed into the form of a middle-aged man.
"Do I really talk like that?"
He shook his head, brushing away these thoughts, then activated the Body Flicker Technique and rushed downward. He had no time to waste.
Whoosh!!
He appeared in a massive hall like a cave. Sean grabbed the torch from another shadow clone that was disguised as the other Chunin guarding the place.
"Sorry..." he muttered under his breath as he glanced at the bodies of the real guards lying on the ground, blood flowing from their slit throats.
He moved forward toward the large metal bars, or rather the prison gate, where a strange creature lay, resembling a rhinoceros beetle but of enormous size, with six yellow wings positioned at the back of its body.
Sean raised the torch to get a clearer view.
"Well, the appearance isn't the best among the tailed beasts..." Sean complained inwardly with a gloomy expression, dissatisfied with the appearance of the Seven-Tails.
He shook his head, dismissing these negative thoughts. He had no hostility or contempt toward this beast.
"Who am I to judge others' appearances... at least this beast will solve the chakra problem, not to mention I'll gain an amazing additional ability..."
He lowered his gaze and stared at the six yellow wings. The Seven-Tails was the only one among its kind that possessed the ability to fly, which was one of the rarest abilities on this planet.
"Ahem..." Sean cleared his throat slightly, trying to get the beast's attention, but to no avail.
He scratched his head awkwardly. "It must be asleep..."
He stepped forward and broke the chains binding the gate, which were actually useless. This entire prison was meaningless before the power of the Seven-Tails. The only reason it stayed inside was because of its gentle personality and its desire to avoid trouble.
Sean entered the cell and cautiously approached the Seven-Tails.
"Chomei..." he said in a deep voice, and at the same time, his eyes turned red, and the three tomoe appeared, spinning rapidly and forming his unique Mangekyo pattern.
"How do you kno..." The Seven-Tails opened its eyes and tried to ask how this visitor knew its name, since it had never told anyone before, at least not the people of this village that had imprisoned it.
But the moment it opened its eyes, it made direct eye contact with Sean, who did not hesitate and placed it under the Mangekyo genjutsu.
Sean held his reddened eyes, which had begun to ache slightly. He raised his head and stared into the eyes of the Seven-Tails, which now carried the distinctive shape of his Mangekyo Sharingan.
"They are really too weak against the Mangekyo... it makes you wonder if this was intentional by the Sage of Six Paths," Sean muttered with a frown.
He took out a scroll from his coat and opened it on the ground.
He stared at the complex sealing design on the scroll, clasped his hands together, then recited the seals as Ashina had taught him.
He knelt on one knee and placed one hand on the seal and the other on the body of the Seven-Tails.
"Seal!"
He poured about 70 percent of his chakra into the seal, which glowed with a golden light.
Clang!!
Clang!!
Clang!!
Clang!!
Four massive golden chains emerged from the seal and wrapped around the enormous body of the Seven-Tails, which stood motionless under the illusion.
The chains dragged the massive body of the beast toward the seal. Under Sean's red eyes, the Seven-Tails turned into a non-physical form and entered the seal.
He closed the scroll and placed it inside his coat. "I have 24 hours before it breaks free from this seal!!"
This was one of the marvels of the Uzumaki clan, or rather Ashina Uzumaki, who surpassed all other Uzumaki in sealing talent.
Before Sean left the Land of Whirlpools, he had explained his plan to Ashina, so the latter created these sealing scrolls that could temporarily imprison a living being like a tailed beast.
He sighed in relief that the mission was completed successfully, turned around, and nodded to the shadow clone, which disappeared in a cloud of white smoke.
Sean ignored the memories that surfaced in his mind due to the clone's dispelling. Without hesitation, he activated the Body Flicker Technique and disappeared.
Whoosh!!
He exited the underground base and walked toward the shadow clone that was still disguised as the Chunin guard. This clone had remained outside as an alarm system in case Hidden Waterfall Village ninjas appeared.
"Is it done!?" the clone asked, then dispelled itself.
Sean stared at the fading white smoke and placed his hand on his face, sighing helplessly.
"Unbelievable! Why bother asking if you won't even hear the answer?"
BOOOOM!!
He felt the ground tremble beneath him as if an earthquake had struck the area. He raised his head and stared at the gray smoke visible due to the blazing fire.
"The explosion is coming from the center of the village. The ninja who was guarding the elder must have completed his task successfully..."
"But I still haven't received the clones' memories, so it seems they haven't been discovered yet!"
"It's better to leave this place while they're still distracted!" Sean muttered under his breath, then activated the Body Flicker Technique and vanished.
------
Elsewhere, one of the ninjas lying on the ground screamed while holding his charred arm.
"Quickly, quickly, use Water Style to extinguish the fire!"
Shiranui stared with reddened eyes at the destroyed and burning building. He bent down and closed the eyes of a ninja whose upper half remained while the lower half had been blown away, only God knew where.
He looked at the ninja with the charred arm and asked in a dangerous tone,
"Who!? Who did this!?"
"Ah! Sir, I have no idea..." the ninja replied painfully.
Shiranui gritted his teeth in anger, dissatisfied with the answer. He turned and shouted at the ninjas who had just arrived:
"You bastards, what are you waiting for!? Hurry up and use Water Style to put out the fire!"
"Water Style: Water Wave!"
"Water Style: Water Wave!"
One after another, the ninjas who had Water Release cast their jutsu, and soon the flames were extinguished.
"Search for survivors!" he ordered coldly, but quickly realized the stupidity of his order when his eyes fell on the building that had been completely leveled.
He changed his command, pointing at the ninja with the charred arm:
"Interrogate him!"
