The training ground was empty and quiet. There were no battles going on no one was. There were no explosions. It was just silent.
Kael stood in the middle of the arena breathing in and out slowly. He had his eyes closed. His mind was not calm at all.
Suddenly he heard Orions voice in his head. "Feel your energy " Orion said. "Go deeper." Kael clenched his fists a bit. "I am trying " he said.
There was a blue energy around Kael but it was unstable. It was like it always was.. Beneath it Kael felt something else. It was dark and heavy. It felt like it was watching him and waiting for something.
Kael opened his eyes. Saw Kaelithra Vex standing a few meters away from him. She was leaning against a pillar and her violet eyes were glowing faintly. "How long have you been standing there?" Kael asked her.
She just. Said, "Long enough to know you're doing it wrong." Kael. Said, "Then say it properly."
Kaelithra pushed herself off the wall. Walked closer to Kael. "You're forcing it " she said. "That kind of power doesn't respond to force." Kael crossed his arms. Asked, "And you know that how?"
She stopped right in front of him and said, "Because I deal with dangerous things all the time. Things that can destroy you if you lose control." Kael didn't say anything. He understood what she meant.
Kaelithra told Kael to close his eyes. "Why should I listen to you?" Kael asked. She smiled a bit and said, "Because you want power."
Kael closed his eyes. Kaelithra said, "Now don't try to control it. Let it come to you." Kael focused again. The blue energy appeared. It was still faint and unstable. This time Kael didn't try to push it or force it. He just watched it and slowly something changed.
The energy stopped flickering wildly and it steadied a little bit. Then that presence appeared again deeper and closer this time. "That's it " Kaelithra whispered. "Don't run from it."
Kaels breathing slowed down. The world around him faded away. Everything went quiet. Then Kael felt darkness inside him. It was like a empty space that was cold and silent.
Kael stood there. He felt something massive and ancient in front of him. It was something and Kael could feel it.
A faint glow appeared, dark blue and almost black. It pulsed slowly like a heartbeat. Kael stepped closer even though his instincts were telling him to stop.
He said, "You're the one inside me." The glow got stronger. The air became heavier and harder to breathe. "What are you?" Kael asked.
For a moment nothing happened. Then the glow. A shape began to form. It was long and sharp like a blade. Kaels eyes. He said, "A weapon."
The moment he said it the energy reacted violently. There was a big explosion. Kaels eyes snapped open. A shockwave burst out of his body. The ground cracked beneath his feet. Kaelithra jumped back a little bit.
Kael. Said, "What was that?" His chest burned,. It wasn't pain. It was power, much power.
Kael said, "Again ". Kaelithra looked at him in surprise. "You're serious?" she asked. Kael looked at her determined. Said, "I need to understand it."
Kaelithra stared at him for a moment. Then smiled. "Fine " she said. "Lets push you properly this time."
She used forbidden magic. The air collapsed. Gravity increased instantly. Kael dropped to one knee. "Ghh " he said, feeling like his body was being crushed.
Kaelithra walked towards him slowly. Said, "Focus." Kael gritted his teeth. Said, "You're trying to kill me."
Kaelithra just said, "Good. Then your body will stop holding "
The pressure increased again. Kaels vision blurred. His breathing became uneven. His body screamed in pain.. Then he heard that voice again. "Not yet " it said.
Kaels eyes. The glow returned, stronger than before. The pressure didn't disappear,. Something inside Kael pushed back.
Kael forced himself to stand up step by step against the pressure and the pain. Kaelithras eyes. She said, "Oh now we're getting somewhere."
Kael took another step and another. His energy began to change. The blue glow. Darkened and the ground beneath him cracked even more.
Kael said, "Come on show yourself." The glow pulsed violently. For a split second the shape appeared again. It was a blade, dark and ancient and terrifying.
Kael reached out. Touched it and there was a massive explosion of energy. The pressure field shattered instantly. Kaelithra was forced back several meters.
When the dust settled Kael stood in the center breathing heavily. His eyes were glowing faintly. His hand was raised slightly as if he had been holding something.. Now it was empty.
Kaelithra stared at him. Said, "You almost did it." Kael looked at his hand. Said, "I felt it for a second. It was real."
She. Said, "That's your first step."
Kael lowered his hand slowly. His body trembled slightly. He was exhausted. He was also excited. There was something something deeper that he couldn't explain.
Kaelithra said, "You're dangerous ". Kael looked at her. "You don't even know how dangerous yet " he said.
That night Kael stood in front of the mirror. His reflection stared back at him.. For a split second it changed. His eyes. A faint shadow appeared behind him holding something. A blade.
Kael. It was gone. "Not yet " the voice whispered again.
Above in the God Realm a figure stood before a massive gate. "The energy spike " someone said. "It's him." Another voice responded, "Then there's no time."
Back in his room Kael clenched his fist and the faint glow appeared more. It was stronger, more stable and more real.
Kael whispered, " time I won't let go."
Deep, within him the weapon waited, waiting for the moment it would finally be unleashed.
