The Grand Training Hall was completely silent. All eyes were fixed on the arena. Ten combat drones stood around Kael their sensors glowing like predators ready to hunt.
"Target locked."
"Attack mode engaged."
The machines moved at the time. Metal footsteps echoed across the arena as they rushed toward Kael from every direction.
Some students gasped. "Ten at once?!" "That's unfair!" Even Lyra frowned slightly. "They're really pushing him."
Meanwhile Rex leaned against the wall with crossed arms. His sharp eyes watched Kael closely. Lets see what Kael does now.
Inside the arena Kael took a breath. The strange blue energy inside Kaels body began to stir. Kael could feel the energy flowing through his veins like lightning.
The first drone attacked. Its mechanical arm transformed into a blade. Slashed toward Kael. Kael moved instantly. Kael dodged the attack. Slammed his fist into the drones chest. The machine was thrown across the arena. Crashed into the wall.
The students cheered. "One down!". Kael barely had time to react. Two drones attacked from behind. Laser beams shot toward Kael. Kael jumped forward in time. The beams struck the ground leaving burning marks on the arena floor.
Four drones surrounded Kael now. They attacked together. Punches. Blades. Energy blasts. Kael moved fast as he could dodging and blocking.. The machines were relentless. One drone kicked Kael in the side. Kael slid across the ground.
Lyra clenched her fist. "Come on…" Rexs eyes narrowed. Get up Kael. The drones closed in again. Kael slowly pushed himself up. Pain shot through Kaels body.. Something else was happening too. The blue energy inside Kael was growing stronger.
The blue energy was reacting to danger. The blue energy was responding to the fight. Kael wiped the blood from his lip. Then Kael smiled slightly. "Okay…" Kael raised his hand. Blue light burst around Kaels body. The air trembled.
Even the instructors noticed the surge of power. Instructor Valeria frowned. "That energy again." Professor Orion nodded calmly. "The God Slayer bloodline is adapting."
Back in the arena. Kael moved.. This time Kael was much faster. Kael dashed forward. Punched the second drone. The machine shattered instantly. Before the third drone could react. Kael. Kicked it into the air. The drone broke apart in midair.
The students erupted with excitement. "Three already!" "Kaels speed increased!" Rex smirked slightly. "Not bad." The remaining drones activated their combat mode. "Threat level increasing." "Maximum attack protocol engaged."
All seven machines rushed toward Kael at once. The arena shook under their weight.. Kael didn't retreat. Instead. Kael stepped forward. Blue energy surrounded Kaels body like a storm. The ground cracked under Kaels feet.
Then Kael whispered quietly. "Lets finish this." Kael rushed forward. Kaels fist collided with the drone. Another one destroyed. Kael dodged a laser beam. Struck the next drone with a powerful kick. Metal shattered.
Students jumped to their feet. "Four!" "Five!" "Six!" Within seconds the battlefield was filled with machines. Two drones remained. They attacked together with synchronized strikes.. Kael had already adapted.
Kael grabbed one drones arm. Threw it into the other. Both machines collapsed onto the arena floor. Silence filled the hall. Then the giant screen above the arena flashed brightly. COMBAT RESULT ANALYZING…
Students held their breath. After a seconds. The screen displayed the result. RANK: A+ The entire hall erupted with cheers. "Whoa!" "A+ Rank?!" "That's higher than Rex!"
Rex stared at the screen quietly. Then Rex laughed softly. "Hah… not bad, Kael." Lyra walked toward the arena with a smile. "Looks like the academy just got its star."
Kael stood in the center of the battlefield breathing heavily. The blue energy around Kael slowly faded.. Deep, inside Kael. The power was still there. Waiting. Growing.
Somewhere far away. Beyond the clouds. A terrifying presence opened its eyes. A deep voice echoed through the heavens. "So the God Slayer grows stronger…" The voice laughed darkly. "This will be interesting."
