(scene: the chamber, right where we left off..)
Smoke still coils slowly around the chamber. Haga still stands before his wife, shielding her. Kai watching with confusion. inside, thoughts brewing. "i don't get it.. he was just using her as his big weapon..! now he cares..?" Gajo breaths slightly heavy.. blood dripping down his cheek. He uses his hand to wipe it.. "You really gonna try this bull shit now that you're cornered!?" Haga lifts his head.. tears forming in his eyes. "You.. could never understand!" Gajo scoffs "Enough. talkings over." Haga's face twitches "YOU CAN"T UNDERSTAND!!" his voice cracks "Because you were always strong.." Gajo's eyes lift barely.. those words.. hitting him like a book to the face. Kai's eyes flicking between them. Haga: "Gajo.. do you know what its like.. to lose someone?" Gajo swallows spit.. Haga: "I guess not. Because i've always seen you succeed in protecting your members." HIs eye twitches "I swear.. I loathe you." Gajo's head slightly lowers.. shadows in his eyes. Haga: "ANSWER ME!!" silence, no answer. Haga: "OR AM I RIGHT!? WAS I RIGHT TO ASSUME YOU'RE NOTHING BUT-" *BAMMMMM!* HE'S SENT FLYING ACROSS THE CHAMBER! Crashing into the far wall as stone fractures. Kai standing there.. his leg resetting, his face calm. He glances down at the pink-haired woman standing motionless, and Kai exhales. Then he turns to Haga.. "That's enough. I haven't known him for long. But Gajo has done enough, for everyone." *BVVVVT!* fifty short, glowing lines erupt behind Kai.. floating like a halo of weapons. Haga slowly stands from the wall.. glancing to his wife.. he then slowly exhales. "My lines.. have all faded from within her." He stands tall.. slowly sliding his cloak off his shoulder, it softly hits the ground, revealing a chiseled body. Kai blinks "Sensei.." He steps up "Leave this to me, trust." Gajo studies the boy.. then nods "Alright." Kai raises both hands.. The fifty lines scatter around Haga.. surrounding him in every direction. Haga looks between them.. "hm.." Gajo thinks to himself "What will you do now, Haga..?"
Kai slowly flexes his fingers.. "Hishin.. NEEDLE SHOWER!!!" The lines explode inward. darting at Haga from every direction! Haga weaves, twists, slides between almost impossibly narrow gaps, doing all he can to dodge! Kai's eyes watch him closely.. he adjusts trajectories rapidly, sending wave after wave. But Haga moves with ruthless efficiency. Kai smirks "Tch." He charges in! Moving through his own patterns, ducking and moving between them flawlessly. He swings punches mid-sprit, Haga evading both the lines an strikes! Both move at blinding speed, as Gajo watches closely. A faint smirk forms, he thinks: "Kai.. you're not doing bad at all." The boy's been studying, analyzing. Haga blocks a punch with his forearm, Kai grins "TUH!" seven lines spear toward Haga's back! Haga spins- then flips backward, escaping. Kai clicks his tongue "Tch! c'mere!" He waves his hands, repositioning the lines in the air. But- Haga bursts forward! Kai flinches- *BAMMM!* THEN HE'S SENT FLYING BACKWARD! Haga presses forward, raising his fist. *SLICEEE!* A SHARP LINE PIERCES OUTWARD FROM HAGA'S KNUCKLE! Blood spills from Kai's side, as he gasps "WHAT!-" Gajo's eyes widen "Lines inside his own body as well!?" *BAMM!* Kai kicks Haga's chest, sliding Haga back. Haga smirks "I guess ill show my hand!" *wet noise!* The line in Haga's finger grows longer.. extending into a blade from his knuckle. Kai forces himself upright.. clutching his side. Breathing heavy, but his eyes remain focused. Thinking hard "He doesn't realize.. i still have all fifty lines behind him. So what now..? if i move them, he'll react.." he closes his eyes.. inhaling. then- *FWOOOSH!* Haga charges forward! Kai's eyes snap open. He pulls his arms backward, all fifty lines rush toward him- straight at Haga's back! Haga grins "YOU THINK I'D FORGET!?" He twirls around fast, blade arcing upward. Kai (internal): "He's choosing to counter instead of dodge!?" forty-five lines suddenly scatter upward! rushing toward the tall dark ceiling. Five fly to Kai, Haga darts forward toward him, grinning maniacly, *BVVT, BVVT!* two lines transform into compact shields over Kai's forearms- *CLANG, CLANG, CLANG!* Metal echoes as he blocks repeated swings! He then leaps backward under pressure. The scene shifts upward.. to the ceiling. Where forty-five lines begin to bind together.. weaving.. forming.. something. *FWOOSH!* Three lines shoot down- Haga dodges them effortlessly "YOU'RE ALL OUT OF TRICKS!!" Kai pants.. blood leaking from his mouth "Yeah.." Haga points his blade at Kai.. the chamber falling silent. Gajo steps forward- then.. stops? His eyes glance up.. they widen a bit.. but he stays composed. Haga bends low, and charges "IT'S OVER!" Kai whispers "sõkai.." Haga: "I WINNNN!" Kai: "-HA!" *GRRRRR!* Two gigantic cyan palms slam down from above. Crashing around Haga's body. All forty-five lines.. all into this. Kai twists both arms violently "STRIKEE!" *SLICEEE!* Spikes erupt inward from the palms, digging into Haga from every angle. He coughs violently, choking wetly. Blood splashes against the stone, his eyes shaking "I.. don't understand." Kai drops to one knee. panting, coughing blood. "Maybe.. i pushed too far." He smirks faintly, wiping his mouth "My lines never disappeared, idiot." The cyan palms dissolve, as Haga collapses onto the floor, blood pooling. Kai plops onto the ground right after, completely exhausted. His fifty lines disperse into blue ash, as Gajo walks over calmly. He places a hand on Kai's head.. "You did well.. i'm proud of you." Kai weakly grins "thanks.." he coughs "Now.. you gotta take me to sector 3 after this. I need more.. more respect than this." Gajo smirks, thinking: "Yeah. He really is just like you." The chamber falls silent once more.
