Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: The Duel of Titans

The ground groaned under the weight of the two giants as they stood facing each other in the center of the jungle. Dorry the Blue ogre and Brogy the Red ogre, their legendary weapons scarred by a century of constant warfare, locked eyes. The air between them was thick with a spiritual pressure that made the very trees bow.

[Warning: Extreme Soul Pressure detected!]

[System Notice: You are standing in the middle of a Platinum-Rank conflict.]

"One hundred years, Dorry!" Brogy laughed, his voice like a landslide. "One hundred years, and still we haven't found a winner!"

"Then today is the day, my old friend!" Dorry replied, raising his massive sword.

Kai stood on a high rock, his [Merchant's Domain] vibrating with the sheer intensity of their warrior spirits. Behind him, Vivi and Silas watched in stunned silence. They weren't just watching a fight; they were watching a piece of history.

System,' Kai thought, his golden eyes narrowing. 'If I intercede, will I be crushed by their souls?'

[Answer: Not if you use 'Soul Resonance'. By matching your frequency to theirs, you can enter the 'Arena of Honor' without taking physical damage.]

"Stay here," Kai commanded Silas. "If the Mr. 3 agents show up, deal with them. I have a trade to make in the middle of that storm."

With a sudden burst of speed, Kai vanished in a [Shadow Step], reappearing right between the two giants just as their weapons were about to collide.

"Stop!" Kai's voice echoed, not through the air, but directly into their souls.

The massive sword and the gargantuan axe stopped mere inches from Kai's head. The wind pressure from the near-impact nearly blew the skin off his face, but his [Emerald Aegis] held firm, glowing with a brilliant, defiant light.

"A human?" Brogy looked down, his massive brow furrowed. "Little one, do you wish to die? This is a duel of Elbaf!"

"This is a duel of ghosts," Kai said, looking up at them without fear. "You are fighting for a victory that neither of you can achieve with broken weapons. I am here to offer you a new contract: I will restore the 'Spirit' of your blades, but in return... I want the secret of the Giant's Soul-Force."

Dorry lowered his sword, his interest piqued. "Restore our blades? Even the greatest smiths of the Grand Line couldn't fix weapons that have fought for a century."

"I am no smith," Kai replied, his hand glowing with a deep, pulsating violet light. "I am the Soul Trader. And for me... even a broken sword has a story that can be rewritten."
