The room felt cold for Akirion, it was colder even though he was wearing his unique coat. That cold was different, not the same cold from the room, but it was a certain sensation, just body instinct.
He heard a swoosh sound but it was too late to even imagine what was the cause. He got a big punch on the back of his head. He rolled on the ground and reached where his sword was.
His heard rang, spinning. His eyes saw nothing, just blurry visions. The Drai charged towards him and kicked his stomach like a ball. His mouth drooled blood down to his ear. He coughed in pain, unable to fight back.
The Drai widely stretched its lips and laughed, "Hihihi, never killed a human before, I'm going to enjoy my first kill!"
Akirion thought about his last chance and his current situation.
"No, no, we can't lose here, we came to far. I begged Amina to ask for a last chance, so, I…. I shouldn't…shouldn't waste!" he muttered, his voice low, stammering and barely above a whisper. The Drai was walking towards him, listening to his growling voice.
"Quiet human!" the Drai said with a thunderous deep voice. While it swang its leg as if it wanted to kick the ball.
Akirion got kicked in the head. He was on the verge of death.
He swung into a memory, his first day in a dungeon. Raiding the wrong dungeon, it wasn't matching their rank and they ended up being saved by the rescue team.
He was poisoned by the elves' poison, deadly and spreads fast. That poison got him to be unconscious for 3 full weeks when he got out of the dungeon. When he walk up he realized that he was hospitalized and his schoolmates were visiting him there.
The cure was found but it couldn't delete the poison in the body but he was getting better and better everyday.
When he woke up, he took only a day resting, then the next day he troubled Amina to go to the dungeon. He was defeated Early on the 4th floor. They got saved by the rescue team that followed them after 5 hours.
Then one of the following Days, he asked but they said no, he begged and they denied but at the end, the guild Master Thornguard allowed it but he called it a last chance. If he loses, he'll never go back to the dungeon and he won't be under Thornguard anymore.
Back to Akirion
'After all the please I used to beg Amina, I can't afford to lose, no. She sacrificed her job because of me, so…so I shouldn't just let it go!' he thought, his eyes narrowed as he tried to wake up.
'I've got this!'
"I've got this!" he whispered.
"Hraaaaaa!!!!!" he loudly screamed while the Drai was about to pick him up. Suddenly, there was a big explosion, it suddenly knocked the Drai 20 feet away from him. The elves that were like 15 feet nearby were knocked off balance.
The girls were done with their fight against the elves. They suddenly heard the scream since they didn't notice that Akirion was down. Emily and Elina were flooding Emma's ears with questions.
"Are you okay?"
"Aren't you poisoned!"
"Do you have any side effects, maybe starting to turn blue?"
Suddenly, the scream ended all the questions. They looked at Akirion's side and raced towards him.
As for Akirion, he stood up fast and his golden Aura was already looming against him.
He glared at his body and felt a bit of weakness. 'Ever since that day, ever since that day when I got poisoned I've been weak. Can't even force my aura out like I did before.' he thought, his eyes narrowed, glowing gold.
He spoke out loud, his voice cold and angry, "Grrr, but that doesn't stop me from landing my finishing strike."
His aura got diluted. It slowly changed to dark every second and it grew rapidly.
"Hrrrr, hrrr hrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaa!!!!!" He started by growling then he ended up screaming, forcing his aura out.
According to what he thought, he thought maybe his Aura would be the one to cover the whole place up. But it was more like a darkness spell. When he screamed, it covered the whole place up and his aura changed back to gold.
The girls and elves were completely blinded but they only saw 2 figures with colorful auras — yellow and gold.
The Drai lit up it's magic. Fire danced on its palm. Suddenly, Akirion's Aura became a line towards the Drai. The Drai only widened it's eyes and never really expected the speed that it saw.
'What the..?' It asked on its thoughts but it failed to react or connect the dots. Since Akirion's aura was gold and the fire is almost on that color. So it wasn't sure whether it was him or just fire that was playing tricks on it.
Suddenly, it had a cold simple voice that echoed into it's mind.
"It's time to disintegrate!"
It widened it's eyes and the sword scream echoed around. The sword shone multiple times until it failed to shine any more. The echoes didn't end until the darkness faded when there was an explosion where the Drai was standing.
Akirion had butchered the Drai into multiple pieces and then casted fireballs to get its pieces to disappear instantly. He was standing like 10 feet away from the explosion.
He then gave the elves a very scary big glare and casted a fire arrow and shot at the elves. The deadliest fire spell ever.
He then knelt down with his left knee, his left hand stretched forward holding a bow the other one ready to fire an arrow.
The place exploded and one of the elves barely escaped danger but it didn't know that there was a more painful one coming.
When it landed on the ground, Akirion shot his arrow that hit its neck and another arrow came from the girls direction. The arrow hit the elves mouth the same second Akirion's hit the neck.
"Huh!!" astonishment circulated in his heart. He drifted his eyes to where the girls were standing.
Emily was on her knees too, putting down her bow.
'Wow, she's good!' he said, in his internal monologue.
