Ryū took one look at the notification popping up in his mind and didn't hesitate for a second. A gift box was a gift box—of course he was opening it.
Besides, it wasn't like he could actually see "luck" as some kind of visible stat. No way to know when his luck was at its peak.

Looking over the three rewards he'd pulled, Ryū naturally didn't spare a second glance at the commemorative badge—aside from being physically sturdy and having a little sentimental value, it was completely useless. Honestly, even 100 flat Points would've been more practical.
Gift 1's 4,000 Points, though, was genuinely solid. Not a small sum for him at all—his current Point balance sat at 16,000, and with this 4,000 added in, that put him at a clean 20,000.
20,000 Points was a serious number. Plenty to work with.
For instance, if he spent it all on Arena revivals, 20,000 Points would buy him roughly 1,000 revives, given each one cost 20 Points a pop.
"Guess my luck's actually better this time than the Mid-Autumn Festival pull. Wasn't that one 2,000 or 3,000 Points? Definitely didn't feel like this much, from what I remember."

This round of Skill Breakthrough Cards, apparently, had gone out practically wholesale—at least a third of the entire Dimensional Chat Group had pulled at least one, some even two.
As for the members who hadn't landed a Breakthrough Card, most of them still walked away with something plenty good in its own right.
Take Kizaru, for instance—despite all the theatrical sulking, he'd actually pulled something every bit as valuable as a Breakthrough Card. Just the one item, but a genuinely excellent one all the same.
This New Year's gift box haul was, frankly, incredibly generous across the board.
Even the two unluckiest members in the entire group—Tony Stark and Yukari—had both come away with solid rewards this time.
