Chapter 202: The Mid-Autumn Festival Gathering
The format was similar to the Children's Day event — though that one had only been three days in the One Punch Man world, and this one was five. Five days was a full working week. Longer than he'd expected.
Not that it mattered to Ryū specifically. Five days, fifty days — in the Konoha he currently lived in, there was essentially nothing to do. He'd just spent forty-one consecutive days in the Arena and come out thinking only four had passed. Time in the Naruto world with no shinobi duties and no active crises meant time that simply accumulated without destination.
He wasn't a Konoha ninja. He had no missions to complete, no superior officers to report to. Nobody in the village had given him reason to do anything about them.
Wait, why did my mind immediately go to "pursuing" someone? That's not a healthy line of thinking. Would be a bad influence on the youngsters.
Five days was completely acceptable. And there was a gift package on top of it — unlike the Children's Day version, which had been age-restricted, this one was open to everyone.
He tried to remember what had been in the previous package. A skill advancement card, definitely. A thousand or two thousand Points — he couldn't recall exactly, it had been a couple of months. And a commemorative badge, which was currently in his bedside drawer accumulating dust.
He pulled the drawer open and took out the badge. Wiped the surface clean with his sleeve. The engraving came back into focus immediately.
A Children's Day badge on someone who looked seventeen or eighteen.
There was something slightly off about that combination.
He put it back in the drawer, took several screenshots of the group activity details, and posted them.
RawrSoFierce: [Image] [Image] — @All Members!
RawrSoFierce: Group activity is live. Mid-Autumn Festival gathering — open to all members, crossover is completely free, no Points required. Food, drink, entertainment — all covered at no cost to anyone. The Chat Group handles the expenses somehow; I don't know the mechanism, just that it works. And there's a Mid-Autumn Festival gift package — unlike the Children's Day one, this one has no age restriction. Everyone qualifies.
RawrSoFierce: I assume everyone wants to come?
Edward Newgate: Gurararara — a group activity! This brings back memories of the first one, where we ran straight into an alien invasion.
Edward Newgate: Still — what a fight that was. Thoroughly satisfying!
Wandering Little Planet: The Children's Day gift package from last time — I only have the badge left. I've been keeping it in my core. It hasn't melted, which is genuinely impressive.
RawrSoFierce: You're storing a badge in your planetary core? It's about half a fist in size — at this point it might as well be a miniature heart protector.
Kaguya-sama: All three activity worlds belong to Chat Group members!
Kaguya-sama: I remember last time, two of the three available worlds were ones the Admin described as distinctly adult in nature.
Street-Corner Illustrator: Adult? What kind of adult?
Kaguya-sama: Based on the Admin's description at the time, several times more forbidden than whatever Eriri-san used to draw.
Street-Corner Illustrator: Suddenly very excited
My True Form Is Cola: Free crossover! Five days… I'll need to ask for five days off school. Onii-san is going to be hard to explain things to though.
Eternally Seventeen: Just make something up. I always tell Ran I'm going out for inspiration and she always believes me.

Only Yukari could produce that excuse with a straight face. Ryū had the impulse to say so and suppressed it.
It was clear that nobody — new member or veteran — intended to skip this one. A free gift package that applied to everyone was sufficient motivation.
The previous Children's Day package had been generous. The advancement card alone had represented significant value. This one almost certainly wouldn't be less.
My True Form Is Cola: Admin — the activity starts in six days, right? So we're waiting six days?
RawrSoFierce: Correct. Six days until the Mid-Autumn Festival Gathering opens.
I'm Rolling In It: Uncle Tony is fairly sure Mid-Autumn is a traditional Chinese holiday. Why does the Dimensional Chat Group celebrate it?
Kaguya-sama: Has Stark-san already served his thirty minutes?
Kaguya-sama: How did that feel, those thirty minutes?
I'm Rolling In It: I lack the words to describe the experience.
I'm Rolling In It: They actually muted Uncle Tony. Unbelievable. And twice simultaneously! I'm now seriously questioning whether the Admin and Yukari-senpai are operating as a unit — possibly living together as we speak.
WolfKingOfQingQingGrasslands: Stark-san looks like he's about to do it again.
RawrSoFierce: The mute impulse is already stirring.
I'm Rolling In It: …I'm sorry!!!!
I'm Rolling In It: …I was wrong!!!!!
Street-Corner Illustrator: Pfft — instant fold, incredible.
Ying Zheng The Sovereign: Pfft…
Kaguya-sama: Even the usually impassive Ying Zheng surfaced.
Ying Zheng The Sovereign: When did We become impassive?
Edward Newgate: Gurararara! For this group activity — would anyone like to play chess with this old man? My hands are itching.
Ying Zheng The Sovereign: Chess? Acceptable. We accept.
Admiral Kizaru: Count this old man in~
Eternally Seventeen: I'll join — and I'll crush every last one of you!
RawrSoFierce: Four people — we might as well just play mahjong.
