Suddenly, Heidi woke up with a sharp gasp.
Her whole body was trembling, and her breathing was fast. Cold sweat covered her forehead.
For a few seconds, she just sat there on the bed, trying to understand what had just happened.
"It… was just a dream…" she whispered to herself.
But her heart was still beating very fast.
She slowly touched her neck.
It still felt as if someone had been holding it tightly.
Heidi shook her head.
"No… it can't be real," she murmured.
The room was quiet and dark. Moonlight was coming through the window.
She looked around the room carefully, as if expecting someone to be there.
But she was alone.
Still, the voice from the dream echoed in her mind.
"What if the real girl isn't dead…?"
Heidi covered her ears for a moment.
"Stop it," she whispered to herself.
Then she took a deep breath and tried to calm down.
"God gave me this life," she said quietly. "This is my life now."
But deep inside her heart, a small doubt had already started to grow.
What if… the real Arwa is still somewhere?
Heidi quickly pushed that thought away.
"No," she said firmly.
But even after lying down again, sleep did not come easily.
Her mind kept replaying the strange dream again and again.
The next morning, Heidi woke up later than usual.
Even though the sunlight was already coming through the window, her mind was still disturbed by the strange dream from the night before.
She sat quietly on the bed, thinking.
Was it really just a dream…?
The voice kept echoing in her mind.
"What if the real girl isn't dead?"
Heidi shook her head, trying to push the thought away.
But this time, something inside her refused to ignore it.
"If I want peace… I need to know the truth," she whispered.
After getting ready, she quietly left her room and went toward the old study room in the house.
The room was rarely used, but it contained many old files and documents related to the family.
She slowly opened the door.
The room smelled of old paper and dust.
Heidi walked toward a large wooden shelf filled with files.
"If Arwa really lived here before… there must be something about her," she thought.
She started opening the files one by one.
Old documents… family records… photographs.
But nothing seemed unusual.
Just when she was about to give up, a small locked diary caught her attention.
Heidi picked it up carefully.
"Arwa…" her name was written on the cover.
Her heart started beating faster.
"Did she write this?" Heidi whispered.
Just as she was about to open it—
"Arwa?"
A voice suddenly came from behind her.
Heidi quickly turned around in shock.
It was Leon, standing at the door.
He looked slightly confused.
"What are you doing here?" he asked.
For a moment, Heidi froze.
The diary was still in her hand.
Heidi quickly tried to stay calm and looked at Leon.
"Brother… I was thinking," she said softly, "maybe if I read my old diary, I might remember something that I've forgotten."
Leon looked at her for a moment, still a little confused.
"You mean… your memories?" he asked.
Heidi nodded.
"Yes. Since I lost my memory, I thought maybe reading my old diary could help me remember things about my past."
Leon's expression slowly softened.
"That… actually makes sense," he said.
He walked a little closer and looked at the diary in her hands.
"So this is your old diary?"
Heidi nodded again.
"Yes. I just found it here."
Leon sighed lightly.
"If it helps you remember something, then you should read it."
He paused for a moment and then added in a slightly serious tone,
"But don't push yourself too hard. Memories will come back slowly."
Heidi gave a small smile.
"Okay, brother."
Leon then turned and started walking toward the door.
Before leaving, he glanced back at her.
"Call me if you remember something important."
After he left the room, Heidi looked down at the diary again.
Her heart was beating faster.
"Now… let's see what the truth really is," she whispered quietly.
She slowly opened the diary.
Heidi slowly opened the diary and began reading it carefully.
Page after page, she looked for something unusual… something that could explain the strange dream.
But every page only contained simple things.
Memories about school… small daily thoughts… and normal events from Arwa's life.
There was nothing mysterious.
Nothing that could explain the strange voice or the dream from last night.
After reading the last page, Heidi slowly closed the diary.
She stayed silent for a moment.
Then she sighed softly.
"Maybe… it really was just a dream," she murmured.
The strange fear that had filled her heart the night before slowly faded.
She placed the diary back on the shelf.
"I was probably just overthinking," she said to herself.
With that thought, she decided not to worry about it anymore.
For now, she chose to believe that it had been nothing more than a dream.
And with that, Heidi left the room quietly.
But somewhere deep inside her mind… the strange words from the dream still remained.
Find the truth.
After closing the diary, Arwa shook her head lightly.
"Forget all of this for now," she said to herself.
Then she suddenly looked at the clock.
"Oh no!" she exclaimed.
"I'm going to be late for university!"
She quickly stood up and rushed toward her room.
"All these strange thoughts can wait," she muttered while getting ready.
"I have more important things to worry about right now."
Within a few minutes, she grabbed her bag and hurried out of the house, still trying to push the strange dream out of her mind.
But deep inside, the feeling that something was not right had not completely disappeared.
