A minute later, Mom joined me. I kept working with my head lowered.

We both laughed and finished preparing the snacks.
"The snacks are ready," I announced as I served them.
We all enjoyed the food together.
"Jay, tomorrow invite your brother, your tita, and everyone else," Dad said. "We'll discuss the wedding."
I nodded.
"Can we go out for dinner?" Kegain asked.
"We'll go tomorrow and discuss the wedding," Dad replied, and we all agreed.
Keifer scooped Kaira into his arms and tickled her.
"Did you miss your Kuya?" he asked. She smiled and kicked her little legs.
"My baby," he said, kissing her cheeks.
Her giggles filled the living room.
