Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Raynare's Death!

Late afternoon sun slanted across the quiet residential street outside Akari Hayashi's average two-story house. She was in the kitchen summoning a cold bottle of iced tea with Sacred Gear: Food Summon when the doorbell rang—sharp, polite, almost rehearsed.

Akari froze mid-sip.

She knew that ringtone pattern: the fake date setup. But the timeline had already fractured because of her. Issei's Boosted Gear was inside her soul now, not his. Food Summon kept her fed without ever needing money. Transform let her wear any face.

And with the Infinite Womb update, she could strip powers clean without losing anything. Rias Gremory showing up at her door one day wouldn't even surprise her anymore.

She set the bottle down, walked to the front door, and opened it.

Standing there in the late-afternoon glow was "Yuuma Amano"—long black hair tied in twin tails, innocent school uniform, gentle smile that didn't reach the cold violet eyes hidden behind the glamour.

Akari blinked once, genuinely surprised for half a second.

"You're… early," she said flatly.

Yuuma tilted her head, smile widening. "Hi! I'm Yuuma. We haven't officially met, but I saw you around town a few times and… I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date with me? There's this cute ice cream stall nearby, and then maybe the mall? It'll be fun, I promise."

Akari stared at her for a long beat.

She knew exactly who this was. Raynare. Fallen angel. Two black wings. Sacred Gear hunter. The one who was supposed to kill Issei on their "date" in the park.

Except Issei was safe at home right now, probably still daydreaming about the mysterious girl who'd taken his virginity and vanished.

And here Raynare was, at her door, probably sensing the stolen Boosted Gear signature leaking faintly from Akari's soul.

The timeline was fucked. And Raynare had adapted—switched targets.

Akari leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed under her exposed midriff. "I don't know who you are. Never met you before today. But… sure. For your sake, I'll meet you at the ice cream stall in twenty minutes. Don't be late."

Yuuma's smile brightened—too bright. "Great! See you soon!"

The fallen angel turned and walked away with a cheerful wave.

Akari closed the door, locked it, and exhaled slowly.

"Okay. Game on."

She summoned the System Shop interface with a thought. The translucent catalog unfolded before her eyes like a glowing menu.

Current System Points: 12,000,000

Akari's eyes widened at the prices.

Twenty million for the Rinne-Sharingan, Fifty for Super Saiyan forms? Seventy for a single Chaos Emerald? The numbers were obscene. She had twelve million—enough to feel rich, but nowhere near enough for the god-tier stuff.

Her gaze lingered on entry #4.

One million. Reasonable. Emergency insurance. If things went south with Raynare—or anyone else—she could drag them somewhere they couldn't escape, somewhere no one could follow.

She tapped Purchase.

Purchase confirmed.

A small, shimmering golden ticket materialized in her palm—simple, elegant, edges faintly glowing. She slipped it into her pocket, grabbed a light jacket (even though she rarely covered her midriff), and headed out.

Twenty minutes later she met "Yuuma" at the small ice cream stall near the park entrance.

They ordered—Akari got matcha soft-serve with red bean paste, Yuuma got strawberry swirl—and sat on a nearby bench, chatting like normal girls.

Yuuma was good at the act: giggling at dumb jokes, complimenting Akari's hair, asking about her "boring convenience store job." Akari played along, smiling softly, letting the fallen angel think she was winning.

After ice cream they wandered to the nearby mall.

They tried on clothes—cute skirts, crop tops (Akari's favorite style), accessories. Yuuma insisted on paying for a pair of earrings Akari pretended to like. Akari used actual cash from her pocket (she still carried some out of habit), treating Yuuma to bubble tea.

They laughed over silly outfits, took mirror selfies (Akari making sure none showed her face clearly), and for a while it almost felt… normal.

Almost.

As the sun began to dip, they ended up at the small fountain in the park—same fountain from canon, same romantic lighting.

Yuuma stopped walking. Her smile faded.

Wings unfurled—two black feathers, jagged and ominous.

The glamour shattered.

Raynare stood there in her fallen angel form: dark outfit, violet eyes glowing with malice, light spear already forming in her right hand.

"Well," she purred, voice dripping venom, "we had our fair share of fun. But now you die. Just blame yourself for having a Sacred Gear."

Akari didn't flinch.

She'd known this was coming the second she opened her door.

She raised her left arm.

Crimson gauntlet snapped into existence—Boosted Gear materializing with a resonant clang.

Boost.

Boost.

Boost.

Boost.

Four boosts. Body thrumming at 4× peak human+ levels. More than enough for a weak two-winged fallen.

Raynare's eyes widened. She raised her light spear—

Akari pulled the golden ticket from her pocket.

"Raynare," she said calmly, voice carrying across the empty park. "My name is Akari Hayashi."

She tore the ticket in half.

Reality folded.

A flash of golden light swallowed them both.

They reappeared in an endless white void—perfectly empty, horizonless, no up or down, no wind, no sound except their breathing. Time felt… suspended. The Pocket Dimension.

Raynare stumbled, disoriented, spear fizzling out in her hand.

"What the—where are we?!"

Akari didn't answer with words.

She moved.

Boosted speed turned her into a red blur. Her first punch cracked across Raynare's jaw, sending the fallen angel spinning. Raynare tried to summon another spear—Akari was already there, knee slamming into her stomach, folding her in half.

Another boost-enhanced uppercut snapped her head back. Raynare gasped, black feathers scattering as she tried to fly—Akari grabbed one wing, twisted, and yanked hard enough to tear ligaments.

The fallen screamed. Akari didn't stop. Fists rained down—ribs cracking, cheekbones bruising, blood spraying in slow-motion arcs through the timeless void.

She alternated: gut punches that doubled Raynare over, hooks to the temple that rattled her brain, stomps to the knees that buckled her legs.

Ten minutes of methodical, brutal punishment. Raynare's regeneration tried to keep up—cuts sealing, bones knitting—but Akari's boosted strength overwhelmed it, reopening every wound faster than it could close.

By the end, Raynare was a crumpled, bloody heap on the featureless floor, both wings broken, one eye swollen shut, barely conscious, wheezing through shattered teeth.

Akari stepped back, breathing steady.

A screen flickered into existence.

Sale Opportunity Detected

Target: Raynare (Fallen Angel – 2 wings)

Sell entire entity?

Estimated value: 2,000,000 System Points

(Note: Low-tier fallen. Weak power scaling. Below average in the food chain.)

Akari snorted softly at the system's snarky remark.

She tapped Yes.

Sale confirmed.

Raynare sold.

+2,000,000 SP added

Current System Points: 13,000,000

Raynare's broken body shimmered, then dissolved into golden motes—gone completely, no corpse, no trace.

The Pocket Dimension ejected Akari automatically.

Reality snapped back.

She reappeared on the park path beside the fountain—exactly where she'd torn the ticket. Dusk had fallen; the park was empty. No witnesses. No blood. No fallen angel.

Akari exhaled, dismissed the Boosted Gear, and walked home.

Safe. Sound. Two million points richer.

And one less threat in the world.
