Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: "Moon Rage" Syndrome

"Time to eat, little ones," Fei Xiao called out after preparing dinner.

Meloetta also consciously hopped onto the table.

Come to think of it, besides Bellossom, even Bulbasaur had stayed behind as well.

Fei Xiao didn't refuse, serving two portions for Bulbasaur and Bellossom to enjoy, then returned to her seat to start eating with Meloetta.

...

After dinner, the human and three Pokémon lay on the sofa, watching TV to digest their food and relax.

Fei Xiao felt very satisfied. The life she'd lived these past few weeks was quite leisurely, and with the company of Pokémon, she didn't feel lonely. It seemed like a nice life to continue living—no worries, no waking up early, just quietly enjoying life.

She didn't know how much time had passed, but as Fei Xiao was watching TV, she seemed to hear a sound. She turned her head and discovered that the three little ones were already asleep.

Their sleeping positions were quite bizarre, sprawled out on the sofa in every direction, and Meloetta even had a crystal-clear drop of drool at the corner of her mouth.

Looking at the three sleeping Pokémon, the corners of Fei Xiao's mouth curled up slightly. She sighed helplessly, rubbing her forehead, before turning to get a few blankets. She straightened the three little ones on the sofa, gently covered them with the blankets, then turned off the lights and quietly went upstairs to her room.

Fortunately, the bathroom was on the second floor; otherwise, Fei Xiao would have been worried about accidentally waking the three little ones downstairs.

As her clothes were removed one by one, Fei Xiao looked at the body in the mirror. It was as flawless as mutton-fat jade, delicate and warm, emitting an charming luster. Every inch of skin was as smooth as silk, without a single blemish or rough spot, as if it had been meticulously sculpted.

Her figure was curvaceous and exquisite, with a slender waist that could be encircled by one's hands, long and gracefully shaped legs, and rounded hips that tilted slightly, full of alluring charm.

Her breasts were full and firm, with faint light blue veins visible beneath her fair skin, rising and falling gently with her breathing. A cascade of fair, beautiful long hair draped over her shoulders, adding a touch of softness and mystery. And, of course, that pair of snow-white, soft fox ears.

Although it wasn't the first time she had seen it, staring at her own perfect body still made her blood boil a little. However, it was much better than the first time, when she had taken a one-hour bath and still ended up with a nosebleed.

After all, her brother was gone, and her heart seemed to have completely accepted the reality.

Fei Xiao slowly lay down in the bathtub, feeling the comfortable temperature all over her body. Her mind and body felt a wave of enjoyment, and she felt completely relaxed.

Slowly, Fei Xiao recalled the events of the day.

It could only be said that things developed a bit faster than she had initially expected, but the result was almost perfect.

From here on out, as long as the higher-ups weren't brainless, they would accept her proposal.

Sigh, come to think of it, she didn't really have any lofty ideals. This time, she had truly gotten a bit carried away after seeing what Bulbasaur had gone through. Now, for the sake of the future of Pokémon and humans, she had risked exposing her strength to humans ahead of schedule.

But since she had already started, she might as well work hard toward the goal of harmonious coexistence between Pokémon and humans.

"System, how many points does a Pokédex cost?"

[Pokédex: 1000 points]

"Ah, damn, so expensive?"

Fei Xiao looked at her remaining 115 points and felt quite helpless.

The points from previous interactions had been almost entirely spent on exchanging for the headband to hide her fox ears. It seemed that the matter of giving the higher-ups a pokédex would have to be delayed.

[Ding, host, there is actually a paper version of the pokédex.]

"Oh, then how many points is that?" Fei Xiao asked in surprise. It wasn't for her to read anyway; she could just let them use it as a dictionary later.

[host, it requires 300 points.]

Fei Xiao ( ● — ● )???

"System, isn't that still not enough?"

[host, I never said you could afford it.]

Fei Xiao:...

What you say makes so much sense that I can't even refute it.

...

After washing up, Fei Xiao put on her pajamas and lay quietly on the bed, falling into deep thought.

"A monster born for battle and destined to die in battle," huh?

This wasn't Fei Hao's Remembrance, but the genuine Remembrance belonging to Fei Xiao. She could even feel the unease in her heart; all these emotions were definitely not fake.

It seemed that she hadn't just transformed into Fei Xiao in appearance; Fei Xiao's strength was slowly recovering, and along with it, Fei Xiao's Remembrance was also returning.

And this Remembrance seemed to be subtly influencing her. At that time, she hadn't just felt Remembrance belonging to Fei Xiao, but also Fei Xiao's inner emotions.

She could even feel the worry and fear hidden in Fei Xiao's heart, and there was even one thing that Fei Xiao was worried about.

"System, after turning into Fei Xiao, do I also suffer from 'Moon Rage' syndrome?"

[Yes, host. Based on your previous emotional changes, you indeed still suffer from 'Moon Rage'.]

As expected, the worry in her heart had come true.

"System, do you have any items that can cure 'Moon Rage'?" Fei Xiao asked anxiously in her heart.

[Sorry, host. I am a Pokemon System; this problem cannot be solved.]

Sigh, just as she had expected, this system was truly unreliable.

Thinking about how she might lose control due to 'Moon Rage' and end up dying in the future, Fei Xiao had a headache. She had absolutely no idea what to do.

She had thought that as time went on, she would be able to do whatever she wanted, but now there was a new hidden danger.

Sigh, life is truly unpredictable.

Fei Xiao lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling with a face full of sorrow, feeling as helpless as someone who went to the hospital for a checkup and suddenly learned they had terminal cancer.

Just then, as the moon slowly rose, moonlight shone into the room through the gaps in the curtains.

Sensing something, Fei Xiao turned her head to look at the window, and this ray of moonlight happened to fall right onto her face.

Gazing at this ray of moonlight, a shooting star seemed to flash across Fei Xiao's eyes, and then her gaze became determined.

That's right, thinking so much now is useless. It's better to live well in the present; future matters can be dealt with later. There will always be a way to solve all of this.

Fei Xiao thought firmly to herself, and soon, she slowly drifted off to sleep.

...

Early the next morning, Fei Xiao got up, washed up, and went to prepare breakfast as usual. There was no sense of powerlessness from having a terminal illness; it was as if nothing had happened yesterday.

"Everyone, come and eat breakfast!"

The three little ones quickly gathered; no one would turn down food.

"Melo?"

Meloetta tilted her head, staring at Fei Xiao without moving.

Seeing Meloetta staring at her, Fei Xiao was quite puzzled. "What's wrong, Meloetta? Is there something on my face?" As she spoke, she reached out to touch her smooth face, but there was nothing there.

"Melo."

Meloetta just shook her head and stopped paying attention, starting to eat her breakfast. However, she felt in her heart that Fei Xiao seemed a little different. But no matter how she changed, as long as Fei Xiao was still Fei Xiao, that was all that mattered.
