Jimmy felt himself awkwardly walking into the gym. He drove himself there, but Junior was on the line screaming at him the entire time.
He looked around the gym, and it felt very chaotic compared to his everyday life. Usually, he would only talk to people on the phone and send emails; he didn't have to interact face-to-face with people this much.
Jimmy watched as a giant dog, which looked to be a Samoyed-husky mix, ran over to him. He looked up at New, who was walking over slowly, "ignore him, he keeps tearing up all of our furniture, so his new job is to walk around the gym and greet customers."
Jimmy stared down at the dog as it looked back up at him with soulless black eyes, "Uh, what's its name?"
"Polcasan."
"Uh, nice name," the dog continued to stare into Jimmy's eyes.
"I'm not a whale, I'm not an orca whale," New sang, and Polcasan turned to him and started to wag his tail and stomp his feet.
"He's one of my babies too, and he loves dancing," New said, and Polcasan turned back around, stopped dancing, and gave Jimmy another soulless look.
"I think your dog doesn't like me."
"You're just new, he will get used to you eventually," New said, and he went back to whatever he was doing before.
Polcasan continued to stare into Jimmy's soul, "Where's your zipper?" He asked the dog. Polcasan squinted at Jimmy and walked closer.
Jimmy had his mouth open as the dog became very human-like just for a split second, "Polca, come here and get some food!" New's voice rang, and Polcasan's eyes changed, his mouth hung open like a dog's again, and he started to do the stomping thing he did earlier.
Polcasan turned around and ran towards New, "Oh my god, I need to get out of here," Jimmy muttered to himself.
Jimmy walked slowly as he looked around the gym some more. It looked like an average boxing gym you see on TV, just a lot more equipment.
There were different sections for each different thing, but Jimmy didn't care about that. He was subconsciously scanning the room for one person in particular, hoping to get a glance at him shirtless.
Jimmy shook his head; his brain must be scrambled or something. He didn't know why he was even thinking about that.
He slowly walked over to Sea, but it was sadly not the one he was looking for. "Where's your brother?"
Baby Sea jumped and quickly shut off the gym computer he was on. He turned around, and a creepy smile grew on his face, "Hi, Dad!" Baby Sea's deep voice said.
"Don't, you are making this way weirder than it needs to be," Jimmy said, and his attention turned to the shut-off computer behind Baby Sea, "what are you looking at?"
"Nothing."
"Bro," Jimmy's face dropped, Jimmy turned the computer back on, "you're not already in college?"
"No, it was too much money."
"So why are you looking at it now?" Jimmy asked.
"Well…I… I don't. Uh. Please don't tell Sea," Baby Sea stuttered.
Jimmy raised his eyebrow, "Why would you not want him to know? I feel like he would be happy for you."
"Yeah, that's the problem. He already has way too much to be worried about, and I don't want him to worry about me at college and all the costs on top of it. He says it's fine, but I am just worried," Baby Sea said, and Jimmy sat down in the chair next to him. "That's thoughtful."
"I guess."
"Well, did he go to college?"
"No."
"Okay, so you should go," Jimmy said.
"That's what he said," Baby Sea said, laughing.
"I'll pay for it, enroll right now."
"No. Sea would be so mad."
"I don't care," Jimmy looked at the tabs Sea had open, "business and fashion design? Are those two different majors?" Baby Sea nodded.
"And are you sure that's what you wanna do?"
Baby sea nodded.
"And why this school?"
"It's good and…" Baby Sea's voice faded out.
"And?" Jimmy asked, raising his eyebrow.
"Keen goes there."
"I don't know who that is."
"The guy I like," Baby Sea said, and Jimmy smiled, "cute."
"Okay, what do I need to pay for?"
"Well, I need to get accepted first and also apply."
"Okay, so apply?"
"It's 60 dollars, well, 120 because they are two different applications and…"
Jimmy felt around in his pocket as Baby Sea's voice turned to mush. He pulled out his wallet, "Two cards, make it work."
"You don't have to…"
Jimmy cut him off, "I need you to know, I'm not doing this to be nice. I just wanna…" Jimmy didn't really have a good reason that didn't make him sound and feel like a pervert.
Baby sea laughed, "Okay, okay, thank you." he could tell by the look on his face what the man was thinking wasn't okay to say out loud.
"I like your clothes," Jimmy said.
"They are Sea's old clothes, but they don't fit at all."
Jimmy laughed, "Buy some clothes with the card, and a phone so you can call, uh, keen? Was that his name? Whatever, don't feel bad, just buy whatever you need," Jimmy said, and before Baby Sea could say anything else, he walked away.
He continued his search for the actual Sea.
When he finally saw him, he felt his heart skip a beat, and his body started to heat up.
He took a deep breath, and his body started to walk. There was something about Sea shirtless, sweaty, and pregnant that did it for him.
Sea turned to the person next to him, who turned around and said, "Hi, Jimmy!" It was Junior's husband, Mark.
"Oh uh hi," Jimmy said awkwardly as he didn't take his eyes off of Sea.
"We were actually just talking about you," Mark said, and Sea hit him.
"Oh?"
Jimmy couldn't remember the last time he had seen Mark in person, but he still felt like he knew so much about him.
Mark, just like Sea, was tall and incredibly jacked. "I don't know if Junior has told you both, but congratulations from me!" Mark said with a small smile.
Jimmy could see the hurt in his eyes. He remembered all the times Mark called Junior crying during work because he wasn't pregnant.
Despite being an omega who's also into boxing. When Mark first started out, he would suppressant bomb to hide the fact he was an omega, and that ended with him unable to get pregnant because it permanently altered his body.
Jimmy feels bad for him in this way; he can't explain. He knows he would never say it out loud, but Mark probably feels bad because they had been trying for years, and Sea got pregnant from an accidental one-night stand. And it kind of hurts Jimmy's frozen heart to think about that.
"Oh, uh, thank you," Jimmy said awkwardly, and Sea rolled his eyes.
"Whose watching your guy's dog?"
"We put him in doggy day care."
Jimmy nodded. "Cool, cool."
Mark pulled out his buzzing phone, "My man is calling, so I will let you two love birds be," Mark said with a smile and put the phone to his ear, "Hello, handsome, what are you doing?"
The two of them watched as Mark walked away, and then they made eye contact with each other. "They are so weird," Sea said, and they both started laughing, "for real, I don't even understand how two people could be that in love," Jimmy said.
"Doesn't make any sense," Sea added.
As the two of their laughters started to calm down, the two of them made eye contact.
Jimmy's eyes started to linger down Sea's shirtless body and then to his muscular legs that barely fit the shorts he was wearing.
"Oh, uh, I'm sorry, I can go put on a shirt."
"No! Please don't," Jimmy said. The wrong words had come out.
"Please, what?"
"No, I mean, it doesn't make me uncomfortable or anything, just do whatever you're comfortable with," Jimmy said, hardly making any sense as the gorgeous man in front of him laughed directly in his face.
"You're so weird," Sea said, smiling at him. "You're either so rude or awkward, I don't know how you do it."
Jimmy shrugged, as his eyes didn't make their way back up Sea's body and continued to stare at his legs.
"Well, welcome to the gym," Sea said, and he turned around and started to point at stuff as Jimmy's eyes lingered on his ass, "this is what I have been doing all day, every day for the past couple of years."
Sea turned back around, and Jimmy's eyes shot back up. "What's with that look?"
"Those shorts are way too small," Jimmy said bluntly.
Sea's face turned sour, "Okay, clothing police, calm down!"
"Or maybe your ass is too big?"
"Excuse me?"
"I mean, it looks really good, and it…all of you looks good actually, but like I. I'm," Jimmy stopped as Sea's face turned to an embarrassed blush.
"Oh, so you aren't insulting me?" Jimmy shook his head, and Sea nodded.
"Continuing on, every day, New gives me different training to do, depending on what I need for that week, in regard to fighting and also my opponents. Right now I'm just trying to stay in shape, because I can't fight while uh pregnant," Sea said, looking at Jimmy with these blaming eyes.
"I want you to worry about your own health first and then worry about our baby," Jimmy said, and Sea felt himself coo. He walked over to Jimmy and embraced him in a sweaty hug, "Someone's gonna be such a good daddy!"
Sea felt himself quickly pull back, "Sorry, that was weird."
"It's fine, I uh…enjoyed it."
Sea gave him a weird look, "You just made it weirder."
Jimmy shrugged, "Just getting into my role as the child's father."
Sea nodded, "Well, I have to move to the treadmill now, but you can come with me if you'd like."
"Sure," and the two of them made their way over to the treadmills.
Jimmy stood next to Sea awkwardly as the man ran on the treadmill.
"Sorry, this is very weird because I am all sweaty."
"It's okay, "Jimmy said, making sure to leave out the pervert part of that sentence.
"Well, I wanna know, do you just want to be in the baby's life or would…you also like to be in my life?" Sea asked while running and flipping the conversation completely on its head.
"In your life, how?"
Sea rolled his eyes, "Are you dumb?"
"You're asking weird questions."
"Would you like for us to be in a relationship, like a romantic one?"
"Uh, sure."
"That doesn't sound very reassuring," Sea said.
"I don't know. I think it's a good idea, makes sure the kid grows up in a stable home. We have sex, dates, yeah, there's not a lot of loss there."
"Um, okay, if I don't want to have sex, will that be fine?"
Jimmy nodded, "You're pregnant, so."
"And if I wasn't later down the line, would that still be fine?"
"Yeah. That's fine. It's up to you," Jimmy said, shrugging his shoulders.
"How many kids do you want?"
"I've never wanted kids before, so I don't know. However many you want, but if the first pregnancy is bad, then no more kids, I don't want you to go through that if you don't have to. Especially because you are in your late twenties. That's just unnecessary," Jimmy said, and Sea nodded, "That's valid."
"Yeah," Jimmy said, and Sea could tell there was more that Jimmy was thinking, "what else?"
"What else?"
"Yeah, you look like you have more to say."
"It's not very appropriate," Jimmy said.
"Say it," Sea said, squinting his eyes at him as he continued to run on the treadmill.
"I know I don't really know you, but you are very attractive, and I would love to see you pregnant again."
Sea quickly started blinking and tried to hit Jimmy, "Do NOT say that out loud!" and Jimmy started laughing. "I told you it wasn't appropriate."
Sea rolled his eyes, "I don't need you speaking like this in front of our child," he said, pointing at the man in front of him.
"I won't, I won't," Jimmy said with his hands raised.
"You better," Sea said, and he got off the treadmill and then turned it off.
He turned around and looked for New, who was busy with 2 kids and a dog that only listens when sung to.
"Well, my days aren't very long, especially now, but normally I would get in the ring and spar with some of the people at the gym, but I'm not allowed to do that right now, so that's kind of it. I get here early and get it all done so I can go home and go back to bed."
Jimmy laughed with a smile, "That sounds nice."
"It really is. How about you? How does your day normally look?"
"I wake up, go straight to work, and I sit at that stupid desk and get yelled at by junior all day, and I try to do as much work as I can, so I don't dump all the work on my employees."
"That's thoughtful."
"I just don't want them to do it wrong," Jimmy interjected.
"God, you are so annoying, every time you say something selfless or remotely nice, you just have to be like oh, well I did that because of some selfish reason, Jimmy, I am trying to like you right now," Sea said, rolling his eyes at the man.
He shrugged, "I'm very honest, I'm sorry."
"Are you sorry?"
"I'm not," Jimmy said with a smile, and Sea hit him.
As Sea continued to scream in Jimmy's face, he couldn't help but smile. "Do you like to go clubbing?"
"I mean its okay, I like drinking, but I always ended up getting blacked out drunk, so New doesn't like when I drink," Sea said, and Jimmy laughed, "How about you?" he asked Jimmy.
"I'm a one or two beer and walk home with my thoughts kind of guy."
"That's weird."
"Yeah, but it helps me forget about it all, you know?"
Sea nodded, "I can understand that."
"Have you ever dated anyone?" Jimmy said. The question was a trap, really, because he knew the answer already.
Sea felt himself freeze, and a smile dropped from his face, "Yes."
"Force?"
"How do you know that?" his face turned in confusion.
"I stalked you.
"You what?"
"Well, I didn't, junior did," he said.
"You are saying that so calmly."
"How do you think I found your address?"
Sea looked around, "You are scary."
"Was your ex abusive?"
Sea felt himself looking around again, like he was worried that Force would somehow hear him even if he hadn't seen the man in years.
Sea grabbed Jimmy's arm and dragged him over to the bathrooms. He quickly shoved the older man in and shut the door behind him, "Are you gonna answer my question, or are we gonna fuck?"
Sea hit the man again, "I mean yes and no…to your question earlier!"
"It's either a yes or no, not both."
"Well, he was kind of verbally abusive, but I don't remember if he ever hit me or anything like that."
"You don't remember?"
Sea shrugged, "I have a bad memory."
"I feel like that's something you would remember."
"Well, I was young when we met and stupid, and then I don't really remember the end of our relationship, not at all, actually."
"That sounds like a medical thing or a trauma response."
"Who are you, my therapist?"
"No, I just think that's weird. You were like 20 or something like that. How could you not remember that? Very weird." Jimmy paused, "Did your ex uh like this?" Jimmy asks, gesturing to Sea's body.
"I was a little smaller than, and lost a lot of weight, but I think he did."
"You lost a lot of weight when you were with him?"
"Yeah, he was really into cooking these elaborate meals, and they would always make me sick, so I was probably the smallest I had been since I got into boxing."
"So he didn't like you buff?"
"Did you listen to anything I just said?"
"Your ex would purposely feed you food that would make you sick, so you lost weight? That's what you just said."
"When you put it like that, I. Okay, maybe he was a little controlling and a bit abusive, but it's in the past, so it's fine."
"Did you guys have sex?"
"Sometimes, I mean, he, like you, wasn't into all of my uh moaning."
"Hey! Don't group me with him, I'm into it now."
Sea felt his face get flustered, and the two of them locked eyes. "Nope, nope. No pretend rut, we are not doing this right now. We have known each other for not even two weeks."
Jimmy took a step forward as a lady-killer smile appeared on his face, "but you're pregnant with my baby," he said in a sing-songy voice, like that justified it all.
"Back up, back up, Jimmy, stop it," Sea said. This man had him way more flustered than he would like to admit.
"Your face is getting red."
"It's hot in here, back up, we need to get out of here," Sea said as his voice came out all shaky.
"I don't think you want to do that," Jimmy said as he started to kiss the side of Sea's face. "Get away from my ears," Sea moaned quietly as his hands slowly made their way to his side.
Sea felt his back hit the cold wall of the bathroom. "Are your ears sensitive?" Jimmy asked in a condescending voice.
"Stop it," Sea said, lightly pushing him as Jimmy continued to kiss around his ears, and then down the side of his face, and Jimmy laughed as Sea shuddered, "you are sensitive everywhere," Jimmy said.
"Well, it's… It's just cold."
"Are you sure?" Jimmy said as he traveled down to Sea's neck.
Sea felt chills go down his body as he tried to stop his moaning, "I…I don't even know how you got honry from us literally talking about my ex."
"You would be surprised," Jimmy said as he got down on his knees in front of him. "No, no, no, no," Sea said quickly, trying to get the man to stand back up.
"Come on…" Jimmy, trying to suck Sea's dick, was cut off by banging on the door and a loud voice yelling, "SEA, GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE!"
Jimmy started laughing as Sea started to freak out. He stood back up reluctantly and stared at Sea's neck with a smile. "What?" Sea asked as he flared his nostrils at the man.
"Nothing," but Jimmy's smile didn't falter, so Sea knew something was up.
As Jimmy went to open the door, Sea looked in the mirror, "What the fuck?" he leaned in closer.
"You have sensitive skin, because I wasn't even kissing that hard," Jimmy opened the door completely, and there New stood.
Sea covered the entire side of his neck that was now completely red, and he turned around, "What are you guys doing?" New asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Just talking," Jimmy said with a smile as Sea jumped on him.
The two of them walked as Sea was fully on the man's back, trying to choke him out.
"In the bathroom, right…" New asid quietly, "Oh, well, I am glad we are getting along, I guess. Sea, are you done for the day?"
"Uh, yeah," Sea said.
"Okay, I want you to take it easy then, get off of Jimmy because you are probably breaking his back right now."
"I'm fine, more than fine actually," Jimmy said in a perverted voice, and Sea quickly slid off of him, "fuck no."
Jimmy started laughing as Sea gave him a weird look.
New eyes wandered to Sea's red neck and then looked at Jimmy and then back at him, "Glad we are getting along," New said again, but this time he actually meant it. "I want you to go home and actually eat food, do you understand?"
Sea nodded like an incompetent child.
Sea slowly started to walk away from New and to his brother, who was with Polcasan. Jimmy slowly followed behind him, "You ready to go?" Sea asked him.
Baby Sea nodded with a smile, "Bye, Polcasan!" he said in a baby voice as the dog started to stomp and wag his tail as Sea petted him too.
Baby sea handed Jimmy back his cards, "Uh, thank you."
"Of course, do you need to go pick up your phone?"
"What phone?" sea asked.
"I gave him my cards and said buy whatever he needs. If you wanna lecture someone, lecture me, I just wanted to help out," Jimmy said, and Sea sighed, "I told you I got it."
"Think of this as me trying to win you over," Jimmy said with a wink, and Sea rolled his eyes as he started blushing.
"You two are very gay. Uh, my phone will be ready in an hour or so."
"Okay, cool. We can have like a family dinner then?"
"Did junior tell you to say that?"
Jimmy shook his head, "I came up with that myself. What do you say?"
"Okay, fine," Sea said.
"Okay."
"Let me go shower, and I'll be right back." And just like that, Sea was gone.
"Can I invite my friend?"
"Yeah, that's fine, is he gonna meet us there?" Jimmy asked, and baby sea nodded, "Okay, and are you ready?"
He nodded.
"Okay, we will wait for your brother then."
Baby sea nodded.
He continued to pet Polcasan, "Do you know who I am? Do you know that?" and the dog continued to stomp and move his tail along to the song.
"New taught you the song?"
Baby sea nodded, "You should try and sing it."
Polcasan turned around and his mouth shut, his tail stopped wagging, and he stared directly at Jimmy.
"I don't think this dog likes me."
"Try singing the song."
"He will bite me if I do that," Jimmy said, and Polcasan squinted his eyes at Jimmy.
"It's probably because you are evil and Polcasan knows that, isn't that right, baby?" baby sea said with a baby voice at the end, and Polcasan went back to stomping his cute feet with his mouth open.
"Right," Jimmy said slowly.
Apparently, the dog never lies, because he's Polcasan san san san san and he loves everyone one one one one.
