Chapter 75 - Chapter 75: Truly Lucky!

At this point, Kalluto's eyes flashed with curiosity. He wondered what kind of manga it was that could drive his second brother—who was usually fickle and obsessed only with food—to such madness.

Inside a dim room of the Zoldyck family estate.

The chubby second brother, Milluki, had a bag of chips in his mouth while his fingers—far more agile than his body would suggest—rattled rapidly across a keyboard.

"Damn it! The official Shonen Magazine already announced that Dragon Ball would be adapted into an anime, so why is there still no news after all this time?! No way, I'm going to hack into their website and see if something went wrong!"

In the Hunter world, television programs existed as part of mainstream entertainment, and animation was naturally one of them.

"And the updates for Dragon Ball are way too slow! If I find out that the author isn't focusing on drawing but is instead slacking off and delaying chapters, I'll make him taste the power of my newest bomb!"

Milluki gritted his teeth as he spoke.

"Ah-choo!"

"What's wrong, Roy?"

"Nothing. Feels like someone's talking about me."

Roy wiped his nose. With his physique, catching a cold was impossible—so it was probably just some reader complaining about slow updates.

Speaking of which, if he calculated correctly… today should be the day he received a new item.

As if on cue, a milky-white ball of light appeared in Roy's hand once again.

"Oh?! I didn't expect it to be this! Truly lucky!"

The group arrived at the butler's room. The moment they stepped inside, Killua immediately felt that something was wrong.

Because his mother, his younger brother Kalluto, and many butlers—including Gotoh—were all gathered there.

"My dear Killua, you've finally returned!"

Kikyo rushed forward excitedly.

"Who is she?" Gon asked in confusion.

"She's my mom," Killua replied.

"Oh!"

Gon suddenly understood and immediately bowed politely.

"Nice to meet you, ma'am. My name is Gon, I'm Killua's friend—"

"Silence! Killua is destined to become a top assassin. He has never had friends—neither in the past, nor in the future, and certainly not now!"

Kikyo instantly cut him off with a sharp scream.

"Kalluto, Gotoh—throw these people out immediately!"

"Yes, madam."

Gotoh bowed. As a butler of the Zoldyck family, he had no choice but to obey.

"Don't come any closer!"

Killua immediately stepped forward, positioning himself between Gon and Gotoh.

"Killua! Do you even realize what you're doing?!"

"Of course I do! They're my friends. I won't allow anyone to hurt them!"

"What nonsense are you saying, Killua! You—"

"Enough, Kikyo!"

A deep, thunderous shout cut her off.

"H-husband!"

"Father?!"

"Master."

"Take Kalluto and leave first, Kikyo," Silva's heavy voice sounded.

It was calm, but carried unquestionable authority.

"B-but…"

"Leave!"

Kikyo was unwilling, but she still clenched her teeth and left, taking Kalluto—who had not said a single word the entire time—with her, looking back repeatedly as they exited.

"So this is Killua's father…"

Silva's first impression on Leorio and Kurapika was that of an absolute patriarch—someone whose word was law.

His loose silver hair, sharp gaze, broad lips, and massive build made him resemble a kingly lion surveying his territory.

"No wonder Killua has such a strained relationship with him… With such a domineering and authoritative father—especially one who leads a famous assassin family—he must be extremely strict with Killua."

Meanwhile, Gon couldn't help but feel a trace of envy.

He envied someone who could spend time with their father.

Ging Freecss…

"Ah-choo!"

Far away, Ging—who was currently playing an online game—suddenly sneezed loudly.

Roy, however, understood very well what kind of person Silva Zoldyck was.

From Killua's usual behavior, it was clear that he feared his father. But when Silva actually appeared, he gave off the impression of a stern yet kind parent. Especially when he once made an agreement with Killua—"never betray your friends"—it felt unexpectedly warm.

Although Silva also believed that friendships might eventually fall apart, it still showed his care for Killua.

Unlike Kikyo, he did not try to force Killua. He understood his son's personality deeply, demonstrating both wisdom and genuine concern.

Moreover, Silva had once killed a former No. 8 member of the Phantom Troupe—his strength was unquestionably immense. He had also been hired, along with Zeno, by the Ten Dons to assassinate Chrollo Lucilfer. Although they didn't succeed, it was only because the Ten Dons were killed midway, and they abandoned the mission themselves.

When facing Chrollo, Silva had said:

"Be careful, old man. That guy can steal other people's Nen abilities."

Just a simple "be careful"—which implied that his strength might even surpass the Troupe's leader.

Later, during the Chimera Ant arc, he descended from the sky and killed the Squadron Leader Cheetu with a single punch. His power was unquestionably top-tier.

After Kikyo and Kalluto left, and Gotoh and the other butlers withdrew, Silva finally turned his attention to Gon and the others.

"Killua, you're back."

Silva stepped forward. Killua showed no extreme reaction—he knew his father wouldn't make a move.

"So, you are Killua's friends?"

Silva's tiger-like eyes landed on Gon.

"Yes, sir. My name is Gon. This is Roy, Kurapika, and Leorio."

Perhaps because Silva seemed much more approachable than Killua's mother, Gon instinctively thought he was a good person.

"Roy?"

Upon hearing that name, Silva raised an eyebrow slightly.

He remembered that the person Illumi mentioned—the one who fought Isaac Netero—was called Roy.
