Chapter 39 - Chapter 39 SPIRIT WEAPON CLASS 101

Chapter 39 SPIRIT WEAPON CLASS ,101

A TALL MAN came into view, walking across the school hallway.

Dark skin and clad in a royal black robe. His blonde hair was spiky, shooting up like a porcupine, with long blonde beards that made him look like a sage.

His eyes were similar blonde, calm, and hidden within were years of battle experience and something else...intent.

Sir Raymond was a middle aged man, a one star Transcendant from the Night Raid Clan.

As he walked along the halls, he came across a beautiful woman and he stopped.

"Sir Raymond "

Miss Amy nodded at the elder man.

"Amy"

He spoke with a deep baritone voice

"How are the kids?"

Miss smiled.

"First of all, I'm surprised the vice leader of the Night Raid Clan went out of his way to be a teacher"

Sir Raymond smiled.

"Let's just say, I needed a break from the Clan. Things can be rough at times"

"And how is teaching a bunch of teenagers count as a break?"

Miss Amy raised a brow.

"For me, I find it interesting to teach the future generation"

"Well you'll be surprised. The kids are great, and a lot of rare talents. Trust me"

"I'll take your word for it"

Sir Raymond nodded as he resumed walking.

Soon, he arrived before the door of the training hall.

"Let's test them out "

A crazy glint suddenly appeared on his face, his eyes glowed as his body burst with yellow aura.

BOOM...

The door exploded of it's hinges..

********

The first years were relaxed as they talk about today's class.

Completely oblivious to what's about to happen next.

Roman, lunar and Sylver were still engaged in their planning, when suddenly...

Fury squealed.

Roman snapped his head towards the red squirrel and jerked to his feet.

"Someone's here!"

He said loudly .

Sylver, Lunar and Anya reacted as they stood turning to face the door.

Before the other students could react...

BOOM..

The door exploded of it's hinges.

Sir Raymond took slow steps in, with yellow blazing aura and fluttering robe.

His eyes glowed wildly with a dark smile on his face, as if he could blow up and entire city and still laugh over it.

The students knees buckled as his Transcendant aura washed over the hall, forcing sweat out of their face.

"Welcome.."

Sir Raymond spoke

"To spirit weapon class 101"

He stretched out his right hand and a weapon formed, slowly weaving itself into existence.

It was a spike, a very long spike with glowing runes on it. It was so sharp that it felt like it could pierce the very fabric of reality and leave a hole in it.

It was a Spirit weapon.

"Lesson one"

Sir Raymond smirk.

"Fight me"

Before the students could blink, he appeared before one and sent a kick right in the student chest.

BAM..

The student crashed into a shelf of arranged weapons.

"Don't just stand there!"

Lan yelled as his body burst with green aura and his chest armor appeared.

"Attack him!"

He dashed towards Sir Raymond with his fist held high.

BAM..

Sir Raymond blocked the fist with his palm, spun and cleared Lan off his feet.

By now the students reacted as their bodies burst with colorful auras, and weapons forming.

Lan rolled away and jerked back to his feet.

Sir Raymond took slow steps into their midst with one hand stretched, clenching his weapon firmly.

The students subconsciously moved, surrounding him.

Roman Slyver and Lunar stood at the far back, eyes sharp.

Anya did the same, at the other side of the hall.

The air inside the training hall grew heavy, like the moment before a storm breaks.

Twenty students stood in a wide circle, boots planted against the marble stone floor.

Their breathing slowed, steady, controlled, but their eyes burned, mostly with panic.

This was a Transcendant stage beast master, and his eyes glowed like he was going to kill them.

One by one, their auras ignited.

Blue. Red. Yellow. Violet.

Energy surged outward, rippling like heatwaves.

The walls trembled faintly as power gathered, pressing against the very space itself.

At the center stood Sir Raymond.

Still. Calm.

Untouched.

His robe barely shifted, though the force of twenty rising auras crashed toward him like a tidal wave. His eyes moved slowly across them, not with fear… but quiet anticipation.

"No holding back" he smiled.

That was the signal.

A thunderous crack split the air as the first student launched forward, fist blazing with dark blue energy.

It was Billy, his hands covered with armored gauntlets, covering all the way to his elbows.

Before he landed an impact..

Gone.

The teacher vanished.

A shockwave erupted behind them.

BOOM..

Three students were thrown across the hall before they even realized he had moved.

The teacher stood there now, arm extended, the air still vibrating from the strike.

"Too slow."

"NOW!" Lan shouted.

They moved together, Bryon and Carl.

Perfect coordination.

Blades of light formed in their hands, arcs of energy slicing through the air.

Bryon with his white long sword, Carl with orange double blades.

One leapt from above, another attacked low, while two more students followed, unleashing ranged blasts that roared like thunder.

For a moment..

It looked overwhelming.

Then the teacher chuckled.

A his aura flared.

Visible. Effortless.

The incoming attacks shattered like glass.

And in the same motion..

CLANG..

Sir Raymond caught Byron's sword from above with one hand, and blocked Carl's double blades with his spiked blade from below.

His aura surged again and it blasted the two boys away.

The students froze mid-motion as the pressure hit them, like gravity itself had multiplied.

CRACK.

The ground beneath them fractured.

Several dropped to their knees instantly.

Still… they pushed.

A girl with dark aura clenched her fists, forcing herself upright.

"Don't stop!"

Her aura flared brighter—spreading to the others like a chain reaction.

One by one, they rose again.

Twenty auras… now synchronized.

The teacher's eyes narrowed slightly.

"That's better, attack me with everything"

They charged again—faster this time.

Smarter and sharper this time.

This wasn't a wild assault anymore.

It was a hunt.

Two students feinted left while another blinked behind him. A spear of condensed energy shot toward his back at the exact moment Billy charged, engageing Raymond head-on, with blazing fist.

For the first time..

The teacher moved seriously.

He caught the spear without turning, crushing it in his hand as he pivoted, elbow striking Billy who attacked from the front, but Billy persisted.

He grabbed Sir Raymond s arms and locked it in a down grip.

Before Raymond could react,

A chain of dark energy wrapped around his arm, supporting Billy.

Then at that moment, Anya moved.

Her body blinked as she activated her ability.

A strange weight descended upon Raymond, pressing and slowing him down.

Anya appeared with a drop kick..

BAM...

The kick sent Raymond's spiked weapon flying off his grip.

Anya's body blinked again..

BAM..

Two kicks simultaneously landed at the back of his right knee, causing him to drop on one knee.

The sound of an elephant's trumpet filled the air as a massive glowing green elephant burst from Lan's body and charged forward in a stampede.

Sir Raymond smiled as he burst into a wild laughter.

His energy surged and burst all over, sending the nearest student flying into the distance.

The blinding surge of pure force erupted outward, obliterating the chains instantly.

The shockwave blasted the massive elephant into sparks, and sent all twenty students flying—some skidding, others crashing, a few barely managing to stay on their feet.

Billy was the closest as he still held on to Raymond.

He crashed far back into a crate.

Anya flew back, but activated her ability increasing the lightness of her body. Then she blinked again and appeared beside Roman and Lunar and Sylver.

She looked at Roman and he smirked.

Silence followed.

Dust filled the air.

One by one… the students struggled back up.

Bruised. Exhausted.

But not broken..well, some where.

The teacher stood exactly where he started.

Not a scratch on him.

But now—his stance had changed.

Lower.

Sharper.

Interested.

His eyes landed on Roman.

Sir Raymonds eyes were all over the hall, and he knew that this particular set of students had not moved since the beginning.

"Interesting," he said quietly.

Roman had be observing, eyes sharp and calculative.

He had prevented Sylver and Lunar from joining.

"A head on fight against a really powerful opponent will be useless"

He said.

But he wasn't being idle.

Roman had been compressing his spirit and beastly energy within himself.

Now it was time to attack.

Roman's eyes glowed glowed and his figure burst with red energy, lightning visibly running through.

He raised one hand above his head and his spirit energy surged upward, forming a thick red cloud. A strange heat covered the hall as waves of lightning surge around the cloud.

Sylver's body burst with silver energy while a round shield appeared on her wrist.

Lunar burst with purple as he bent a little and unshealted two curved blades from both sides of his laps.

Just like Roman, Lunar also carried his weapons with him.

They both walked forward and stood in front of Roman as purple lightning began to surge around Lunar.

"Cover him!!"

Anya's voice rang as she stood beside Sylver and Lunar.

The students tightened their formation again, auras flickering but defiant.

Forming a semi circle around Roman.

One of them stepped forward, wiping blood from his lip.

"We're not done yet."

For the first time—

The teacher raised both hands and two long glowing spikes with runes materialized.

"Good," he repeated.

And this time…

His aura began to rise higher. 🔥
