Salvatore didn't wait for the car to fully stop before he was out the door, striding across the gravel drive toward the mansion entrance.
Felix's words replayed in his head. He ordered the guards to wait for him in the office as he couldn't wait any longer to see Milo.
"Where's Milo?" he said to the first person he passed.
"Back garden, boss," one of the guards said. "With Roderick. And Teo."
Salvatore didn't slow down. What were they doing in the back garden? He was so curious.
He walked through the corridor quickly. As he neared the back door leading out to the garden, he heard it... laughter, bright and free.
Then he saw them. He was so surprised to see Roderick laugh that hard.
"You always run your car into the bushes. I've told you, move before it crashes!" said Roderick in disbelief, but he kept giggling.
