The office door opened without a knock, and Alben strolled in with a big smile.
"I didn't know you were gone for days," Alben greeted everyone as he walked toward Milo.
Milo grabbed Roderick's wrist, moving closer to him. He looked at Alben uncomfortably.
"How are you, sweety? Have fun?" Alben leaned over the top of the sofa, bringing himself close to Milo's ear while his hand rubbed the young man's hair.
Milo kept looking at the man. He moved even closer to Roderick.
Alben smiled. "You're still afraid of me?"
Roderick pushed Alben's hand away from Milo's shoulder. "Sit down. Why are you annoying this kid?"
"Tsk!" Alben laughed and sat down on the next sofa. Then he looked at Salvatore, who walked over to the sofa as well and sat down close to Milo.
"You called for me," Alben said, glancing between the three of them, his eyes lingering just a beat too long on Milo before sliding toward Salvatore. "Sorry it took a while. I was so busy with Wolfy."
