Chapter 45 - Someone Else’s Name

The glowing words floated quietly in front of Con.

Blue light shimmered against the endless mirrors around him.

[Welcome back, Host.]

[Lee Eunwoo.]

Con stared at the message.

His brows slowly furrowed.

"…Lee… Eunwoo?"

He said the name out loud.

The sound echoed faintly across the vast mirrored space.

But the name meant nothing to him.

He tilted his head slightly.

"Who is that?"

The system flickered.

The letters glitched for a moment, like something struggling to respond.

Then another message appeared.

[Host identity confirmed.]

[Name: Lee Eunwoo]

[Status: Reincarnated Host]

Con blinked slowly.

"Reincarnated…?"

That word sounded ridiculous.

He rubbed his temple.

"No, no… that can't be right."

He pointed at himself.

"My name is Constantine."

The system paused.

Then new text appeared.

[Alias Detected: Constantine]

[Human Identity Registered]

Con exhaled slowly.

"Good."

"That's correct."

He had never heard the name Lee Eunwoo before.

It felt completely unfamiliar.

Like someone else's name.

Not his.

He looked around again at the strange mirrored world.

Thousands of reflective surfaces floated silently in every direction.

The ground beneath him shone like polished crystal.

Above him, the sky shimmered with fragments of glass drifting like clouds.

It was beautiful.

But deeply unsettling.

"…where am I?"

The system responded almost immediately.

[Location: Mirror Realm]

Con stared at the words.

"The… what?"

He slowly stood up.

His legs felt steady now.

Stronger than before.

He took a few careful steps forward.

His reflection moved across the mirrored floor beneath him.

Con paused.

His eyes widened slightly.

That was the first time in his life he had ever seen his own reflection.

A young man stared back at him.

Silver hair.

Pale skin.

Sharp, elegant features.

And bright crystal-blue eyes.

Con leaned closer to the floor.

"…that's me?"

He tilted his head.

The reflection copied the movement.

For a long moment he simply stared.

Trying to process it.

He had never known what he looked like before.

The village girls used to call him handsome.

His friends sometimes joked about it.

But he had always assumed they were exaggerating.

Now seeing his reflection—

He felt slightly awkward.

"…oh."

That explained a few things.

Con quickly straightened again.

His face warming slightly.

"Anyway."

He looked back toward the floating system messages.

"You said this place is the Mirror Realm?"

The letters blinked.

[Correct.]

Con rubbed the back of his neck.

"That doesn't help much."

He glanced around again.

"So… what exactly am I doing here?"

The system flickered.

Several new messages appeared rapidly.

[Host entered Mirror Realm through active Mirror Gate.]

[Gate activated due to emotional resonance.]

Con frowned.

"Emotional… resonance?"

The system paused briefly.

Then displayed another message.

[Trigger Detected: Strong Emotional Stimulus]

Con's chest tightened slightly.

His thoughts drifted back to the festival.

The hooded girl.

Her footsteps.

The strange ache in his heart.

His fists slowly clenched.

"…her."

He whispered the word without thinking.

Something about her had shaken him deeply.

Even now, just remembering the sound of her running footsteps made his chest feel heavy.

But before he could think further—

The system suddenly flickered violently.

More messages began appearing rapidly.

[Skill Database Reconnected]

[Processing Stored Abilities…]

[Warning: Skill Count Exceeds Standard Human Capacity]

Con blinked.

"…what?"

The words kept appearing.

[Total Registered Skills: 3,842]

Silence filled the mirrored world.

Con stared at the number.

"…three thousand… eight hundred… what?"

He pointed at the message.

"That's obviously wrong."

"No human has that many skills."

The system didn't respond.

Instead, more messages appeared.

[Combat Skills: Active]

[Magic Skills: Active]

[Support Skills: Active]

Con's brain slowly began connecting something.

His memory drifted back to the alley earlier.

The moment he had raised his hand.

The strange word that had slipped from his mouth.

The explosion that had blown open the shop wall.

His stomach tightened.

"…that spell."

His voice was quiet.

"I didn't learn that."

The system blinked again.

[Skill Usage Confirmed.]

[Spell: Sever]

[Origin: Stored Skill Database]

Con's breathing slowed.

His mind struggled to catch up.

Thousands of skills.

A mirror realm.

A strange system calling him by another name.

None of it made sense.

He ran a hand through his silver hair.

"…okay."

"Let's slow down."

He looked back at the system messages.

"One problem at a time."

He pointed at the glowing text again.

"First question."

"Why do you keep calling me Lee Eunwoo?"

The system flickered once more.

Then a new message appeared.

[Memory Data Missing.]

[Cause: Voluntary Memory Deletion.]

Con froze.

"…memory deletion?"

The system confirmed.

[Host requested removal of all past memories.]

Con's eyes widened slightly.

"Wait."

"You're saying…"

He slowly pointed at himself again.

"I erased my own memories?"

The system blinked.

[Correct.]

The mirrored world fell silent again.

Con stood motionless.

Trying to process that information.

After a long moment, he muttered quietly,

"…well."

"That sounds like something I would do."

He sighed softly.

Then glanced around the strange Mirror Realm again.

Still confused.

Still overwhelmed.

But now—

A strange feeling of curiosity slowly began rising inside him.

Because somewhere deep in his chest—

He had the strange feeling that this place…

Had once been his home.
