"Mmm… heehee, the Hunter's grilled ribs are really good."

The sound of little Paimon chomping on meat reached his ears.

"Amber also said something about waiting until Su Han woke up to treat us to honey-glazed carrot steaks."

"Su Han probably doesn't like greasy food anyway… Paimon will handle it for him—"

Paimon was sitting right next to him, biting into a tantalizingly roasted rib with gusto.

Su Han's face darkened. Seizing her chubby little cheeks while she wasn't paying attention, he pinched and twisted them mercilessly.

"I'm not dead yet, and you're already having a feast?!"

"Ugh—cough, cough, cough—"

Paimon's eyes rolled back as she choked, frantically pounding her chest, clearly stuck.

"…Uh…" Su Han got up and poured her a cup of water.

"Phew… alive again…" Paimon exhaled in relief.

"You're embarrassing yourself. Choking on a rib?" Su Han sneered.

"Hmph! Paimon only choked because you scared her!" she huffed, hands on her tiny hips, trying to look fierce.

"By the way, what does 'having a feast' mean?"

"It's… uh…"

After Su Han explained the meaning, he asked, "Where are Lumine and Amber? Where did they go?"

"The Traveler went with Amber to take the flight license test. They told me to stay here and take care of you. Once you woke up, we could go find them."

"So this is how you take care of me?" Su Han said, speechless.

"Heehee, you're awake now, aren't you? Waking up this quickly is all thanks to Paimon."

Su Han shook his head slightly. Paimon was a foolish little creature—if he quibbled with her, he'd end up losing.

After lunch, Su Han stretched lazily by the window, the breeze brushing against his face, refreshing his mind and spirit.

Currently, he had mastered two advanced spells: [Pathbreaker One • Surge] and [Pathbreaker Four • White Thunder].

The raw power wasn't high, but combined with teleportation, the impact could be far greater—and these skills could be upgraded later.

A gentle wind stirred. Su Han's eyes darkened slightly, his robes fluttering as if a banished immortal had descended to the mortal plane.

He casually plucked a green leaf, pointing at the air by the window. Coldly, he said, "Hmph. You dare block my true form from manifesting?"

Paimon pouted: "Pfft, what are you doing, silly?"

Su Han's voice dropped: "Paimon… have you ever thought—if one day you encounter an enemy you can't defeat, what will you do?"

Paimon replied cheerfully: "I won't lose! You're all here, right?"

"No. You can rely on us, but we can only rely on ourselves."

"So… I'm practicing my acting skills. Maybe I can bluff someone when it counts?"

"Ah, stop overthinking. Let's go meet the Traveler and the others at Mondstadt's city gate."

"Heehee, Amber promised us honey-glazed carrot steaks."

"You're still thinking about food after all that? Don't you fear bursting?"

Su Han poked Paimon's soft little belly.

"Not scared! Paimon would rather die a full little ghost than go hungry."

"…"

Walking through Mondstadt, familiar townsfolk greeted him warmly along the way.

Su Han smiled and nodded in reply, but a nagging sense of unease grew heavier in his chest.

"Paimon, after I fainted yesterday, did you reveal my identity?"

"Nope, nope. You specifically told Paimon not to, so of course she didn't."

"That's a relief…"

"But…"

"But?"

"Yesterday, Lisa-san's attack was a bit heavy. We were worried something might happen to you."

"So we brought you to the Mondstadt Cathedral, where the Priestess Barbara personally treated you."

"So… Barbara-san knows I'm traveling with you…"

Su Han felt a twinge of concern. "Were there any outsiders present at that time?"

Paimon quickly shook her head. "Nope, only us."

Whew. Su Han exhaled in relief. If the Mondstadt citizens discovered he was that bard, his reputation here would be toast.

"But…"

"Not again…"

"Defeating Venti is such a big deal! We couldn't let people miss it."

"Paimon went around the streets, personally spreading the news multiple times."

"Really, really, you should be so grateful to Paimon."

"Heh… well, how can I possibly thank you, Paimon?" Su Han rubbed his hands together, a gleam of deadly intent flashing in his eyes.

"Paimon, good girl, stick your head over—I'll give you a buff."

But Paimon wasn't falling for it, deliberately keeping a wide distance.

"Oh, and Amber said, since you don't have a suitable weapon yet…"

"You could pick something up from Uncle Gwena at the blacksmith. He's the most skilled in Mondstadt."

Su Han shook his head. "Paimon, I don't need any weapons right now."

Paimon blinked. "What do you mean?"

"First, my otherworldly aura is a weapon in itself."

"Second, mere iron cannot match me. Someone like me is destined to reach the pinnacle of heaven, to be sung of in legends. Using an ordinary weapon would simply be beneath my status."

At that moment, a green-haired, glasses-wearing girl in a dark-blue skirt and cute uniform, with black garters, walked past, muttering to herself:

"Professor Albedo's assignment… so hard…"

Once she passed, Su Han calculated his angle, pointed his finger, and whispered: "Pathbreaker One • Surge!"

Whoosh! An invisible shockwave lifted the girl's skirt. The view was… spectacular.

The girl blushed furiously, covering herself and squealing as she ran: "Eep! Lord Barbatos, you're so mean!"

Su Han's expression was satisfied. "White, perfect. My talent is undeniable—I can wield this spell skillfully on my first try."

Paimon: "…"

Just as Su Han basked in his own mastery, Lumine silently appeared behind him, her face calm and unreadable.
