[Hours Ago]
"I have intel, but it's not cheap."
Ashley sat in the corner of the plane, the seats in her row empty as Lucian had gone to the other cabin for a moment.
She narrowed her eyes at the message before typing a reply.
"How much?"
Ever since boarding the plane, a nagging feeling had been knocking at the back of her mind. Since she couldn't just sit around and sleep during the flight, she pulled out a compact laptop she had borrowed from Gin and tried to figure out what was bothering her.
Now, Ashley had finally found someone with intel.
She waited for the reply, watching the three dots at the bottom of their chat as the other person typed.
"Not how much. But what?"
Her right eyebrow arched as she understood the meaning behind the reply.
These people accepted all sorts of jobs for the right price. But the right price didn't necessarily mean money.
"What do you want?" she replied, willing to fulfill his request as long as it was something she could—and would—do.
