Watching the small horde approach, Anvil spoke up.
"We'd have run from a horde like that in the past. However, I'm sure you'll be able to deal with it." Anvil said casually.
Sunny thought about. Anvil was most likely thinking Sunny had some major trump cards. After all, he was an unknown Supreme cultivating strength for whoever knew how long.
So after thinking for a moment, Sunny got an idea. 'Will' was naturally flexible, and only when you truly relied on it in every scenario would your attaintment go up. So that's exactly what he did.
Sunny summoned shadows from the lantern. It poured out and formed a large ball. He thought about it carefully. If he used the 'Will' he had been strengthened to coat the attack, and it was eventually destroyed. Sunny had a feeling that 'Will' would be destroyed as well.
The annihilation seemed complete and thorough. So this time he decided to try a new 'Will'. As a Divine Shadow, Sunny's soul was malleable and could change nearly at a moment to become something else.
However, without his true name, accessing new steps would be difficult, as he would come to find out that accessing different types of 'Will' became difficult as well.
The fortunate part was that Sunny could use 'Wills' he had personal experience with and could easily relate to.
One of them is 'Space Will' because of the shadow-step. Although Sunny wasn't the best at it, there were probably two people who excelled far better at using 'Space Will'.
Nightwalker and the holder of the Storm God Lineage, Arintane. To say she was exceptional with 'Space Will' would be an understatement. She could bend reality and twist it. Her powers were fascinating, working in ways that Sunny had a hard time understanding.
Wrapping the 'Space Will' around his weapon, Sunny did his best to try to condense the ball with sharp spikes. The goal was fairly simple with this. While Anvil would create a path, Sunny would do something similar and create a battlefield.
Creating a long chain attached to the spiky ball, Sunny swung it above his head. He continued to swing it as the speed increased faster and faster.
The Wardens were getting close now.
Sunny launched it forward. The chained ball went out like a slingshot. Wherever the ball and chain went, the Annihilation receded. At the same time, Sunny felt the strength of the 'Will' dwindle as time passed. Sunny continued to swing wildly in the direction of the creatures.
The goal here was simple. If they wanted to come in and attack them, Sunny would be able to retaliate and follow them for a while without entering the complete annihilation zone completely and risk getting stuck there.
He would weave in and out as they would do.
Smiling Sunny watched them as they came, they didn't slow their speed. Unfortunately, Sunny wouldn't be able to hold back. As this place was dangerous. So he summoned his elite squad
Saint, Fiend, Nightmare, Serpent, and Slayer all appeared. The battle started quickly.
Sunny found himself measuring the time he spent at Annihilation Border. Each dip he took was calculated to the extreme. He needed to know so that he would not get trapped in there and die.
Dipping in Sunny noticed that the Dark Warden was hanging far back. In the traditional sense, acting like a Tyrant. So its strength was most likely that. A Great Tyrant.
Sunny also became aware of the fact that he didn't receive a shade every time he killed a White Warden.
'Maybe the Dark Wardens could be different?' Sunny thought.
He quickly approached a White Warden and, with a few dodges, manifested shadow tentacles and commanded the shadows to rip it to pieces, which they did, disintegrating soon after. Using his 'Death Will' would make it easier to kill the creatures, but then that would go against all the past battles he had fought to sharpen it.
The shadow cohort was making quick work of the White Wardens. With Kai supporting them in the back, Anvil also carved a path quickly, forcing everyone to follow along. Sunny would create new battlefields where they would engage in the Wardens.
Before the last three White Wardens fell, the Dark Warden jumped into the battle.
Sunny watched as the creature grabbed two handfuls of annihilations as he was about to enter the gap. However, just before the Dark Warden entered the gap and was about to show its strength, an arrow hit its right eye.
Slayer made herself known as the creature stumbled into the gap. Sunny was moving forward at dire speeds when he noticed another arrow that Kai had shot as well. Sunny's speed was faster than the arrow, and he arrived moments before.
'Show off, being good that good with a bow is practically cheating in fights.' Sunny thought.
The Dark Warden was ready. With a sharp swing, he attempted to punch forward. Only for Sunny to duck the blow.
Immediately following that, Kai's arrow finally arrived and pierced a hole into the creature's forearm. Surprisingly, only the arrowhead went into the creature as if his muscles were too thick to penetrate.
Sunny was prepared to launch a devastating attack since the arrow would have the enchantment to bind someone in that space. Letting his katana go diagonal, Sunny was surprised to see the creature's eye. It was sharp as if it were waiting for this moment.
A bad feeling entered, and then he saw the reason. The arrow was disintegrated due to annihilation. The Warden opened his large mouth and exhaled a large amount of annihilation right at Sunny.
Caught off guard, Sunny tried leaping to the side and dodging the annihilation, but the Warden was ready. With all the strength of a Great Tyrant, it brought down its fist. Sunny tried to block with his by putting his forearm behind his blade to give reinforment but, but the might was devastating.
Sunny felt that as soon as the fist collided with the shadow blade, it bent. Not only that, the annihilation seemed to work into the blade quickly, and it turned translucent. Sunny was sent flying back.
The Dark Warden didn't stand idly by. It went forward, propelling itself off the ground using its strong forearms. Its speed was unlike anything Sunny had seen, then two arrows found its mark.
One was in its leg, and the other was in its abdomen. Sunny was flying away because of the attack, heading straight towards the annihilation border. Just before he entered he created a shadow under him, dipped his leg into the shadow, and disappeared. Only to reappear right behind the Dark Warden.
Using his Supreme Art. Sunny wrapped all the shadows around himself and swung his blade. In the last second, he put six of his shadows into the blade. Finding its mark in the Dark Warden's neck, Sunny severed it easily.
This Supreme Art was the first application he had figured out. It became possible to do this because of how fast he became a shadow. It rarely failed him and didn't fail him now.
As Sunny felt a flood of shadow fragments enter his soul, he had a thought.
'Anvil did not tell me that it could exhale annihilation. I've got to be careful. Who knows what else they could do?' Sunny thought.
In the higher ranks, there were a lot of gimmicks that creatures could kill with. It became dangerous, and sometimes the creature could nearly get a guaranteed kill with a blow. Controtational battles weren't the best idea.
As a Supreme Titan, Sunny's reflexes were sharp, and his mind was nearly impenetrable. So there were times he could get complacent and let a creature land a blow. Luckily, Sunny didn't suffer consequences due to this.
