Amara remained rooted to the spot for a second. Then her eyes lowered unconsciously to the wrist he had just held.
For some reason, she could still feel the warmth of his hand. Before she had time to dwell on the strange feeling, he had already reached the pavement ahead.
He turned slightly. "Coming?"
She quickly nodded. "Yes." She hurried after him.

The small bell above the entrance chimed softly as they entered the ice cream shop.
The cool air inside immediately greeted them.
Rows of colourful flavours stretched behind the display glass, each one labelled neatly in polished lettering.
Alexander glanced toward Amara. "Choose whichever flavours you like."
Her eyes brightened almost instantly. "I can choose more than one?"
"If you want."
For the next several minutes, Amara carefully studied every flavour before finally settling on two.
The shop assistant smiled as she prepared the order and handed it over.
