Confusion filled his expression once again.
Orion hesitated before answering.
"You openly disrespected the King several times in front of everyone."
His voice dripped with sarcasm.
"Or are you trying to convince me that someone else did it so your hands stay clean?"
He shook his head bitterly before letting out a humorless chuckle.
"You know what?"
He looked away, his jaw tightening.
"Just stay away from me before I end up doing something we'll both regret."
Finn's fists slowly clenched at his sides, the veins on the back of his hands becoming more pronounced.
"Can you just listen to me, Finn?" Orion pleaded, taking a cautious step forward.
Before he could say another word, Finn yanked the ornate hairpin from his hair and hurled it at him with all the strength he could muster.
Whoosh!
Orion's eyes widened, but his reflexes kicked in instantly. He tilted his head to the side just in time, narrowly avoiding the sharp hairpin as it flew past him.
Clang!
