Chapter 6 - Judgement of Order

Far beyond the Subrift…

Something noticed.

The fracture that had swallowed Thanex was not merely a tear in the physical world.

It was a wound carved through the deeper layers of existence—an unstable corridor cutting across dimensions that were never meant to touch.

Normally, such a wound would close naturally.

The Void would consume what entered.

The anomaly would vanish.

Balance would restore itself.

That was the law.

But this time…

Something had gone wrong.

Deep within the endless darkness of the Subrift, a fragile human soul had refused to dissolve.

And the Void had responded.

It had stopped erasing.

Instead, it had begun to give.

Far above the Rift.

Far above the world where Thanex had been born.

Beyond the reach of mortal sight.

Beyond the flow of ordinary time.

There existed another realm.

A place that governed structure itself.

Order.

It was not a kingdom.

Not a physical world.

It had no sky, no ground, no mountains or oceans.

Instead, it was a vast expanse of radiant geometry.

Perfect lines stretched endlessly through glowing space.

Golden patterns moved in slow, eternal cycles, weaving complex designs that defined the rules of existence.

Here, every star had its path.

Every dimension had its boundary.

Every force had its role.

This was where reality's laws were maintained.

Where balance was measured.

Where contradictions were corrected.

The gods of Order watched everything.

Not as individuals.

Not as personalities.

They were manifestations of the laws themselves.

Expressions of structure.

And they did not tolerate contradictions.

Across their vast domain, countless streams of information flowed constantly.

Every movement of reality.

Every shift in cosmic balance.

Every fracture between worlds.

Most were insignificant.

A collapsing star.

A dying civilization.

A new Rift opening somewhere within the endless layers of existence.

All were recorded.

All were categorized.

All were allowed to continue as long as they followed the rules.

Then something appeared within the streams.

A disturbance.

Small.

Almost invisible.

But wrong.

The information surrounding the Subrift flickered.

The pattern of erasure had broken.

The Void was no longer simply consuming.

It was interacting.

Adapting.

Responding to something that should not exist.

The pattern shifted again.

Energy from the Void flowed into a mortal body.

A human.

A creature far too fragile to survive such a thing.

The data rippled across the endless lattice of Order.

For a moment, the streams paused.

Then the response began.

Reality had laws.

Balance.

Structure.

The Void swallowing a mortal was normal.

It happened countless times throughout existence.

The Void empowering a mortal was not.

That broke the pattern.

It disrupted the design.

It created an instability that could spread far beyond the Subrift itself.

And instability could not be allowed.

Across the radiant expanse of Order, countless lines of golden light converged upon the anomaly.

They examined it.

Measured it.

Calculated its consequences.

The results were unanimous.

The contradiction could not exist.

A single command formed.

It did not require words.

It did not require language.

It was a decision encoded directly into the fabric of existence.

Erase the anomaly.

At once, the realm of Order responded.

Golden light surged through the endless geometric structures.

Patterns shifted.

Energy gathered.

Across countless dimensions, reality itself bent slightly as the divine force focused its attention on a single point.

The Subrift.

Deep within that wound in existence, Thanex still floated in the darkness.

The Void continued to swirl around him.

Tendrils of nothingness flowed through his body like rivers of cold shadow.

The fragments that had once begun dissolving from his skin had stopped drifting away.

Instead, the Void wrapped around him.

Seeping into his bones.

Filling the empty spaces between his thoughts.

The darkness felt endless.

Ancient.

Older than stars.

Yet it responded to him.

Not because he commanded it.

Not because he understood it.

But because something within him refused to break.

Refused to disappear.

The Void had noticed that defiance.

And now it was reacting.

Energy gathered within Thanex's fading body.

A quiet transformation had begun.

Then the heavens answered.

A bolt of incandescent light tore through the fabric of reality.

It did not emerge from the sky.

There was no sky in the Subrift.

Instead, the strike appeared suddenly—ripping through layers of existence like a blade cutting through cloth.

The light was blinding.

Pure.

Absolute.

It carried the authority of Order itself.

Where it passed, the darkness recoiled.

The Void twisted violently around the descending beam.

The divine strike moved with terrifying speed.

A falling star of pure law.

Its destination was singular.

Thanex.

Within the endless darkness, the bolt of Order descended directly toward him.

But Thanex barely noticed.

He was still struggling to breathe.

The Void had begun flooding through his veins like a cold ocean.

Every breath felt heavier than the last.

Every movement required immense effort.

Pain exploded through his body.

His nerves ignited like burning wires.

His bones cracked under the pressure of the energy forcing its way inside him.

Thanex's vision blurred.

The darkness around him pulsed violently.

Something inside his chest felt like it was being torn apart and rebuilt at the same time.

The Void continued pouring into him.

Endless.

Relentless.

Then the bolt of Order arrived.

The divine strike hit him directly.

There was no warning.

No moment to react.

One instant Thanex floated in darkness.

The next—

Blinding light consumed him.

For a single, terrible moment…

Void and Order collided.

The impact shattered the silence of the Subrift.

Reality screamed.

The sound did not travel through air.

It vibrated through existence itself.

Two opposing forces clashed within Thanex's fragile body.

Void.

Endless darkness that devoured everything.

Order.

Absolute structure that defined the laws of reality.

They should have destroyed each other instantly.

That was how such forces behaved.

When opposite absolutes met, they annihilated.

The Subrift should have collapsed.

Thanex should have been erased instantly.

Instead…

Something impossible happened.

The Void did not retreat.

The light of Order did not vanish.

Both forces remained.

Locked together.

Twisting violently inside Thanex's body.

The golden light shattered against the expanding darkness.

Fragments of Order splintered like broken glass.

But the Void could not fully consume it either.

The two energies tangled together, struggling for dominance.

Thanex's body became the center of the storm.

Light and darkness spiraled around him in violent currents.

His bones cracked again.

His veins burned.

Every cell in his body screamed as the opposing powers tore through him.

Reality itself struggled to contain the collision.

The Subrift trembled violently.

The endless darkness warped as the impossible fusion continued.

Neither force could win.

Neither force could disappear.

And slowly…

The struggle changed.

The golden light twisted under the pressure of the Void.

Its perfect structure began to break apart.

The absolute symmetry of Order fractured.

Its rigid patterns shattered.

But the Void did not simply consume those fragments.

Instead, it absorbed them.

Reshaped them.

Something new began forming inside the collision.

Something that had never existed before.

Order shattered.

From its ruins, something new was born.

Disorder.
