Aria stood frozen.
Her hands trembled.
"She just… disappeared."
Kael's voice was low.
"They erased her."
Jonas whispered,
"…like she never existed."
The Keepers turned toward them again.
Orion watched calmly.
"Next correction."
Aria suddenly stepped forward.
"No."
Kael grabbed her arm.
"Aria."
But her eyes were different now.
Anger.
Fierce.
"You killed her."
Orion shrugged slightly.
"She was irrelevant."
Aria's fists clenched.
The air around her vibrated.
Kael noticed immediately.
"…Aria."
Jonas stepped back.
"Uh… something weird is happening."
The lights above them flickered violently.
The Keepers stopped.
Their heads turned toward Aria.
"Temporal surge detected."
Orion's eyes widened slightly.
"…impossible."
Aria whispered,
"I'm not the solution."
The ground trembled.
The subway walls cracked.
"I'm the problem."
The pocket watch in Kael's hand suddenly shattered.
Glass exploded outward.
Time itself warped.
Orion stepped back.
"…what did you do?"
Aria looked up slowly.
Her eyes glowing faintly.
