An hour later the final decision was announced.

The room held its breath.
"The international project will be led by… Knight Corporation."
Emily felt relief flood through her.
Lucas whispered,
"We did it."
Alexander looked toward Emily.
"You did it."
Across the room, Victoria Hayes remained calm.
She slowly stood up and walked toward them.
"Congratulations."
Emily nodded politely.
