Jay POV
Sunday was supposed to be quiet.
That was the lie I told myself.
I was in my room, sitting on my bed, staring at my hand.
It still hurt a little.
Not enough to stop me from ignoring it.
Then my door opened.
"Jay."
My mom walked in.
She immediately looked at my hand.
"You didn't clean this properly."
"It's fine."
She narrowed her eyes.
"That's what you said last time."
I sighed.
"I'm okay."
She didn't look convinced.
But she didn't push further.
Instead, she asked:
"Why did you get hurt?"
I paused.
"I slipped."
A very bad lie.
Even I knew it.
She stared at me for a moment.
Then shook her head.
"There are people downstairs to see you."
I frowned.
"Who?"
She didn't answer.
Just stepped aside.
"Go see for yourself."
Downstairs
I walked slowly.
Too many thoughts in my head.
When I reached the living room…
I stopped.
All of them.
Sitting like it was completely normal.
Felix already eating something.
Ci-n waving.
Yuri looking around like he was inspecting the house.
David just sitting quietly.
Calix scanning the room like it was a mission.
And Keifer—
Keifer looking at me like he had been waiting the whole morning.
I blinked.
"What are you guys doing here?"
Felix grinned.
"Sunday visit."
"That's not a thing."
"It is now."
Ci-n leaned back.
"Your mom let us in."
I slowly turned my head.
"Of course she did."
Keifer stood up.
"We need to talk."
I immediately crossed my arms.
"I'm not in the mood for lectures."
"Good," he said. "We're not giving you one."
That made me pause.
I sat down opposite them.
"Then what is this?"
Keifer leaned forward slightly.
"Whatever you're dealing with… we're not staying out of it."
I exhaled slowly.
"No."
Everyone went quiet.
I continued:
"It's too dangerous."
Felix shrugged.
"We've handled dangerous before."
"Not this kind."
Yuri tilted his head.
"You keep saying that like we're fragile."
"Because you are compared to this."
Ci-n frowned.
"Try us."
I looked at all of them.
One by one.
"You don't understand what you're stepping into."
Keifer spoke again, calm but firm.
"Then make us understand."
Silence.
That hit differently.
I looked away for a moment.
Thinking.
Then finally:
"If you want to help me… you don't just jump in."
They all waited.
"You train. Properly. You learn everything. No guessing. No hero acts."
Calix nodded immediately.
"That's fine."
Felix pointed at himself.
"I was born for chaos anyway."
Ci-n smiled.
"Same."
Yuri sighed.
"This sounds exhausting… I'm in."
David just nodded.
"Okay."
Keifer didn't look away from me.
"We're ready."
I held his gaze for a second longer than I meant to.
Then looked away.
"We'll see."
Kitchen – a few minutes later
Aries walked in carrying a tray.
"Mom and Auntie Gemma said I should bring this."
He looked around.
Then froze when he saw everyone.
"Why are THEY here?"
Keifer smirked.
"Hello to you too."
Aries narrowed his eyes.
"Don't start."
Keifer leaned back.
"You've grown taller."
"Don't lie."
Ci-n laughed quietly.
Aries muttered something and walked out.
"He's scared of me," Keifer said.
"No one is scared of you," I replied.
"They should be."
I rolled my eyes.
Calix stretched.
"So… where exactly are we training?"
Everyone looked at me.
I paused.
Then said:
"I'll show you after you finish eating."
Felix immediately grabbed more food.
"I like this plan."
Ci-n nodded.
"Training after snacks is peak strategy."
Keifer leaned slightly toward me.
"You're still not okay, are you?"
I didn't answer immediately.
Then:
"Eat first."
